That is seven tons of explosive material!!!! That is a huge amount. Wonder where it was coming from and destination.

Good job FC. I suspect it might have some link to the rangers op carried out yesterday in Karachi at a explosive factory.

QUETTA: Frontier Corps (FC) on Sunday thwarted a terror bid by seizing 4,000kg of explosives from a bus on a bypass located at the Quetta-Iran border, Express News reported. Five, including a woman, were also arrested during the search operation.

According to an FC spokesperson, the raid was conducted on a tip-off received from Mastung that explosives in a huge quantity were being brought into Quetta.

Bomb-making equipment was also recovered from the bus along with explosives.

FC personnel surrounded the area and conducted a search operation. Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was also called in, in order to prevent any potential blast.

Reports of foiled terror bid in Quetta turn out false

The reports of a major terror bid foiled by security forces in Quetta turned out to be false after the recovered material was identified as harmless potassium chloride, DawnNews reported.

Security forces had earlier announced that a bid to smuggle a huge quantity of explosives into the provincial capital was foiled early on Sunday.

The material previously reported as explosives turned out to be urea which has no link with bomb making, according to DawnNews.

Other household items including shoes, pulses and blankets were recovered among the items falsely reported as explosives.

According to an FC official, Captain Jauhar, security personnel had acted upon receiving a tip-off regarding suspected terrorists entering the city and intercepted a bus coming from Mastung.

Security forces had claimed to have recovered six to seven thousand kilograms of explosives upon conducting a search of the vehicle.

Five suspects were also taken into custody who were shifted to an undisclosed location for further questioning.

Good Job... Keep it up...
