Han establish "西域都护府（One in the Western Province）"。in AD 60, the official representative of the rule of the Han Dynasty, Han began to settle in the Western Regions. The Uighur ancestors - "回鹘" until AD 850 entered the Xinjiang.

However does this justify their horrendous acts, such as the 2010 Moscow Metro Bombing that resulted in the death of 40 innocent Russian civilians? Does the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq justify the terrorists' cowardly attacks against their own countrymen?

No civil war has happened between China and Xinjiang

55,000 Chechen insurgents have been killed by Russia in the past 10 years.

Around 2-3 Xinjiang insurgents are killed every year by China.
