Expanding Pakistan Armed Forces Using Conscription

A disciplined, well trained smaller army is much better than a massive conscripted and ill trained army. Where morale is low and skill minimal, defeat is almost certain regardless of numbers.

No one is getting rid of the professional army. But in times of all out war, especially against much larger enemies, conscripts play a critical role in defense of the nation.

Instead of conscription why not train and equip FC AND RANGERS to standard of regular army. This will cost less time and money. We got force of about 80000-100000 troops in fc easily creat one or two corps

I don't understand why Pakistan hasn't maintained a proper Reserve in equal numbers. We should have upto 500,000+ in Reserves especially given that India has another million in reserve.

Pakistan needs to start and immediate program of conscription to boost reserve forces and build discipline in the country to fight a multi front war. Time isn't a luxury.

VMS should be announced by now... talk with security council... if they do something ok fine if not start training volunteers...n wage an agressive war

for conscription you need to have a well groomed nation who are ready to make sacrifice. while in pak we are trained to earn money only by any possible means. secondly all of our institutes are corrupt to the core so there is lot of frustration in the minds of those who want to do something honestly. and those who can go to afford to go abroad try to find better future in foreign countries. in this country one has to pay "rishwat" for every legal thing even so morale will be low for sure.
conscription requires motivation and purity of purpose which we seriously lack.

We donot require conscription as our volunteers are already turning up in huge numbers. But bringing back NCC(National Cadet Course) is the need of the hour.It will bring the general populous closer to the army and give the young men a feel for that life and that training could be scaled up if need be
