Pakistan police commandos are currently being trained by Pakistan Army's Anti terrorist squads for Combating terrorism.

This Act was highly predictable because of the current security situation in Pakistan . The Lack of ATT training resulted into catastrophe when the Lahore Police academy was attacked by terrorist Groups twice.

I hope highly trained Police commandos/regulars will help being the force multipliers moreover strengthen the ability to Combat terrorists in our urban areas and within the country while safeguarding the vital installations.

Indicates how terrorism has become an integral part of our lives ..

Indeed , there is a saying in Urdu which says " If you are given a drum you have got to beat it " .

All we can do is to train well and beat them to the doors of hell .

I am convinced that the success would be ours and these ruthless killers would be a part of our dark history .:pakistan::pakistan::pakistan:

Emo all i can think about it for now is that there would be a devision of roles with clearly set objectives for security institutions .

Police

would still do their normal duties but they would be trained in ATT.

Elite Police Commandos.Elite force or E.F

These guys can be given a bigger responsibility for Urban AT activities along with Intel agencies .
Remember about a rumor of a new ATT squad being developed? i guess EF would be given this role and they would be Equipped with APC's and Muhafiz armored vehicles and latest weapons.
I think Army wants to concentrate on the major front of this battle and wants to hand over Urban warfare to E-F with most appropriate equipment and Commando training .
So to me it makes sense.

Army

Army when free from urban responsibilities when handed over to E-F they can concentrate to drag those Taliban Faggots to the doors of hell more efficiently.

Police using APC's ...thats certainly something new..

I hope it helps...

It's being used in the deployment display, where as in real scenario a wheeled "Mohafiz" type vehicle is the likely choice.

. .
In India we hardly paid any attention to develop internal security forces, the politicians had special forces to guard them and who cared for common man. It is only after 26/11 we are paying attention to it.

It is a good step for Pakistan.
