KSA executed 47 terrorists. 2 of them happened to be Shia and the remaining 45 were Sunnis. KSA is not killing Shia Saudi Arabians randomly and never did so. 10-15 % of Saudi Arabia is Shia. The first Shia's in the world emerged in what is today KSA like all other Muslim sects almost and Islam itself. Shias are some of the richest people in KSA as well and dominate Saudi Aramco.

Both regimes need reforms though. This is obvious. Egypt and most of the Arab and Muslim world will stand behind KSA though in this case. We will not look silently if Iran attempts to attack KSA or worse if they attempt to threaten Makkah and Madinah. Hopefully cool heads will ultimately prevail but you never know with the current tensions.
