I see nothing wrong there. Every country is and should be out there for their own national interests. The interests of foreign countries should come second (or even last). So morrococo is in its own right to do whatever they deem necessary for their national interests. You don't run a country based on religion or whatever. That coffee is tainted with lies and deception.
No thank you.
Morocco took the deal since it not only opened the door for more sophisticated military sales and transfers from the US but also US recognition of Morrococo's sovereignty over western Sahara(something the US and many other countries around the world have been reluctant to do before ) . So it's a WIN-WIN for morrococo and it will help bolsters/cements their claim/sovereignty over western Sahara.
I see no reason they shouldn't have gone for this deal. Only a fool/blind person will have ignored such a deal. They have nothing to lose but more to gain here.
It's normal to see Algerians like the other member @Ceylal putting morrococo down for this deal, since Algeria and Morrococo are at odds over western Sahara and they have also had border disputes. In this regard, Algeria is firmly against Morrococo's claim over western Sahara and Algeria has been supporting those in western Sahara who are against Morrococo's encroachment of their territory.
Algeria rejects Trump's stance on Western Sahara
Algeria on Saturday rejected a decision by outgoing U.S. President Donald Trump to recognise Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara, saying the step would undermine efforts to end the decades-long conflict over the desert territory.

So it's expected that Algerians will be against Morrococo's move, but to see others here being even more hostile to Morrococo's move is kind of baffling for me to be honest. I fail to see what their own reason for that is. Since their country has no stakes /issues with Morrococo or even in that region. Lol. Except it's about religion again like always. lol.
