Excl: US proposed guarding Bangladesh Border against terror & Indian Threat

for what exactly???

the only reason we have BSF at ur border is coz of ur pole vaulters...if US patrols, we will happily leave the border...but it may be problen for ur jamaatis though..how will they train terrorists in ur country when US will rule ur country...?

You will happily leave the border, and we (BD-US) will happily, professionally guard the border. Does it look like a win-win situation.

yes..

But US will guard ur borders....what will u do?

Carry their luggages..!! lol!!

If US is guarding that border, what might become of the Cow trade ?
several thousand Indian cows are traded on the Bangladesh border .... and Americans have a good taste for beef !

they will have to do with Bangladeshi cows...

i think u should be more worried about ur jihadi buddies..US will soon start droning them soon...

We eat 1.5 million indian cows. Americans appetite is even bigger. Besides as India loves US so much they might throw another half a million cows free across the border. Hail USA...

Same terrorist who were freedomfighter just 2 decades back..... And one might wonder who supported them..

They where supported to fight off the Russians.... they where not supported to blow themselves up and rule Afghanistan the way they choose to.

dont worry about Americans appetite...worry about ur jamaatis..they will be running scared..like a headless chicken..

Man.......you are so happy that the Americans will rule BD and eat Indian cows........

We would be happy to sell them cows as long as they stop BD pole vaulters.....and take care of those extremists.....which will also benefit India....

Just imagine the view of American drones diving in and blowing up the jamaati terrorists... spectacular!!!

Go America Go!!!

Indians still living in their delusional dreams about all Muslims being "terrorists". The US move here is aimed to counter China under Asian Pivot policy, it is not aimed against India, but Indians cannot help but get nervous with so much attention paid to their "vassal state" which they thought was under their control and subject to their liberal abuse using their agent RAWamy traitors.

RAB in Bangladesh is enough to catch any RAW (Indian CIA) funded and trained fake terrorists, no drones are needed for it. Bangladesh is a densely populated land and everyone knows what everyone else is up to, there is no place to hide.

USA does not require India's or any other nation's green signal to get things done.If it wants something then it'll get it done by hook or cook.So don't overestimate yourselves,US is still the only true super power and this is what eating my brain off,it'll be a huge burden for a tiny country like BD to handle such a super power element.
On a lighter note,
Where is Oil there is Amrica,I think Uncle Sam smelled some big chunk of Oil beneath The BoB.This strategic issues are just silly reasons to enter The BoB because Yankees will be here to get the Oil.:D

You seem to have "fallen from the sky" just now.....

Indians are saying that this move will actually help India rather than BD.......
We are just warning you with good intentions.....if you don't believe us then read the comments of your 'well-wishers'(Pakistanis) on this issue.....

Still you claim that RAW is destroying your country.........I wonder how come RAW ranks so low among the Intelligence agencies of the world.......

We know that buddy....USA doesn't REQUIRE India's permission to set-up a Military base in BD AND it doesn't CARE about BD's permission to set-up a Military base in BD.......it is still the only super-power.....and it gets what it wants....by whatever means....

Great news- we can expect a stepping up of USN-IN naval exercises then!

+ I was hoping we were to see some sort of arrangement where US guarded the land border. A competent and proffesional force on the BD side would mean we would see a dramatic reduction in smuggling attempts by BD and a reduction in BSF-BD encounterers with the people doing their jobs being criticised for doing their duty.

The issue of illegal immigration is your problem. So far, your government hasn't said anything to the GoB. Even given that the current Bangladeshi administration is India-friendly.

And please, don't come up with that "vote-bank politics" crap.

simple explanation: our govt. is dumb (which includes vote-bank politics whether you like it or not) and also for now they feel BSF is adequate enough to tackle the situation.

You made that up. You people just love to equate Bangladesh with Pakistan's problems

Muslim = terrorist logic.

What can I say, obsession

Yes, its just a theory, for all I know could be completely wrong or spot on. But there are known terror groups in BD, and some had proven links with Pakistani outfits, although many have been banned & dismantled now.

Counter-Terrorism: Bangladesh And The Money Train
Operations of RIHS in BD I think are of particular interest to US.

But even given all this, it is extremely unlikely US will undertake any operation in BD. Joint Ops at the most.

And its people like you who bring up Muslim terror analogy, its like people can't say nothing to discuss possibilities without "YOU" playing the muslim card.

They don't need a base. Their carrier groups are enough to annihilate anyone.

Don't over-estimate US. Unless you were merely talking about their capabilities for WoT.

Indians are freaked out even with a fart... what will happen when they see the US soldiers guarding our border along with BDR? LOL

Indian BSF will think US soldiers are cow smugglers. Drunk BSF troops may shoot at them.

I personally do not think, USA has offered BD a physical presence of US troops along the BD border. However, a few years ago USA sent a team to survey the BD-India border. As far as I understand USA has installed some kind of listening/watching equipments across the BD-India as well as BD-Burna border.

The then US Ambassador defended this action by saying that these are to check infiltrators (read terrorists) across the border. US has also installed two radars in Kuakata and Cox's Bazaar. These the US says is to watch over the sea pirates. Well, to US and BD India itself is a pirate.

USA uses many vague and diplomatic words to camoflage its true intention. However, I believe the already installed border equipments are to check the movement of Indian and Burmese troops. The shore radars are to watch also Indian and Burmese navy movements.

Not only this, USA has installed also a number of watching equipments on Himalayan tops and in Arunachal Pradesh in order to watch over any Chinese troop movements. But, I think these are also to watch over IA troop movement. This is how the Policeman of the world polices different potential conflict zones.

Therefore, I believe, US does not intend to man our border along with BGB with a physical presence. Rather, it wants to install many more watchdog equipment posts along the border to watch over Indian troop movements.

I have reasons to believe that it was the USA who had informed BD in 2008 of the Burmese survey ships in an area which lies only 32 km SW of St. Martin. When BD sent its naval ships to the contested sea, one US navy ship has already arrived and anchored in CTG, all in the name of humanitarian assistance to the cyclone victims. But, it was too quick. It means it sailed for CTG immediately after the USA had notified BD about the Burmese activities.

We have to understand that any point in the sea is very difficult to pinpoint correctly without sophisticated aerial survey equipments. BD does not possess such equipments. But, US satellites are capable to pinpoint an X-Y co-ordinate in the sea quite accurately. This is how US came to know about Burmese movement near St. Martin which it informed immediately to the GoB. Reality is USA is already working with BD military for quite a long time.

Considering all these I am of the opinion that US wants to install many more listening posts along the BD border with India and Burma. It certainly cannot watch China from BD. To watch over China it already has a few watch posts on the Himalayan top.

Sorry for the long post. It is indeed too long. But, I thought I better share the information which I have gathered during the last few years.
