What's new

Ex-resident of Nasla Tower dies of depression: Abad

Well when you have a massive properly constructed building which had certain paperwork to confirm to buyers to invest their money , demolishing the homes sends the wrong message

The impacted residents should have attained full refund for their property based on current market value plus more , coming from Sindh Government's personal budget

Very unfortunate to hear such news

Then there are cases of "Illegal huts and tin can dweallings and markets setup on Government land" similar issue but they really don't have any paperwork

Still lack of planning and ability to relocate population shows weakness in planning on part of Sindh Government officials

Sad news of the death of one of the affectees.

The Nasala Tower was encroached and demolished upon courts orders, that is the right thing in the right direction.
The main issue here is not Nasala Tower but the investment of the general public in the residential apartments/shops, whether the invested money of affectees returned according to the present value or not.
Further, the culprits in government departments/politicos still remained to bring to justice.
It is the court's responsibility to make it mandatory before evacuating the affectees from the building so they could arrange another place for living.

RIP.

Just yesterday a building fell at Sher Shah Suri which was illegally constructed on a 'naala' just like Nasla Tower which has been built on naala as well (30% land), illegally.

@The Eagle @waz @LeGenD

What is this nonsense , this gossip auntie is turning PDF into a village gazette.
This is not village gazette but injustice being done wait karachi residents ...

No penalty on the sindh government who provided all the NOCs. No reimbursement to the residents who had nothing to do with the issue ...

Sad u cant understand the pain of the people who lost all of the savings and that too through strike of hammer of SC which is supposed to be the top most institution responsible for justice in the country ...

U r comparing apple with oranges ...

Nasla tower residents prime plea is that being resident they are unaware about the legal status of land. They can only check about NOCs of the gov which was duly provided. Now if this building have to be demolished then it has to be demolished after compensating the residents ...

I fee sorry for the old lady, but ABAD is using her story to save their ***

ABAD is a biggest land grabber mafia. These people have build plots on amenity plots, destroyed our beautiful city Karachi.

A very sad moment, our CJP is only fixated on turning Karachi into rubble and destroying the homes of the poor. They are more pressing issues in the country than demolishing ordinary peoples HOMES.

Institutions are not strong if they are easily influenced by individuals.

Anyone can interpret the law, the courts are there for mechanism of social justice not technical oppression.

There seems to be a total collapse of common sense and moral depravity is at its highest. How ironic that for a society propagated to be humble, hospitable and compromising, people are dying fed up, depressed, in debt and without hope, great start in the afterlife.

Sometimes some of you are so cold it is scary. Either out of ignorance or indifference.
One death is too many but we really need to get our priorities in place as well.
Yesterday, some 20 people lost their lives due to illegal construction on a canal.....where is the thread or discussion on that.
Apna Bhai ya bhen nahi mara na isliyeh.....

Yeh shokiyan dosron ke marne par marta hai.......
Tujey bahut dukh hey tu ja kar koi ahetjaj kar, idhar dialougue marney ka drama mat kar.

where is the thread or discussion on that.

Yea, how much discussion on that, it's barely gone one page.

RIP.... But it's a court order to demolish illegal building. The rule of law must prevail for everyone. Nobody is above than law!
and not punish tha bastards who allowed buildijg to be made in the first place! but they cant because fauji inc massive choori mafia will be uncovered if babus are punished poora she e faisal aik fauji qabza mafia hai!

Rule of Punishment should be applied on the "Approvers" and Government institutes run by Sindh who approved these buildings with bribe in first place

People impacted should open a court case suing the "Government of Sindh " to recover their losses

If Sindh High court fails open a case against Sindh Government to provide "Market value refund to impacted families or their survivors" this is what Supreme court was created for , to go after corrupt Politicians who hide behind provincial powers
