Ex-ISI chief blasts all, including Musharraf, agencies, media

The reason of imbalance of power between civil government and army is due to lack of trust.
Although I do admit that poisonous tentacles of corruption has also effect army to some extent, but this point cannot be denied either that our civil government has lack of leadership skills, and as army expects to some extent, the corrupted elements within civil regime has worked against the interests of country and army as well.
If we have civil government with good leadership skills then definitely it will work on country's interest, thus reducing trust deficiency and will strengthen its bond with army and work on against corruption.

Gen. Pasha would have done exact same thing if he was in the seat of Musharraf.

Yeah , its easier to bark when you are out in the U.A.E. enjoying life than when you are in top most position of the army and the country . What choice did Musharraf even have , if I may ask these idealistic people ?

Here is an alternative view.

In any country, the power rests with three main insitutions (and some secondary ones).

1. Political institution
2. army
3. Bureaucracy.

In Pakistan army and bureaucracy constantly change and update and replace their middle and upper tier officers.

While

Political institution refuses to update and replace their middle and upper tier officers.

Army and sarkari baboos leave their instiutions and play golf or get stuck in mosques doing Qaza Umris.

While

politicians refuse to go. They treat their parties as jagiri parties.

And

their supporters do not ask them to retire either.

And

thus political institutions are dead

while army and sarkari baboos are alive.

And only alive groups get to rule

not the dead ones.

Well said.

As Musharraf is "perceived to be" out of public favor, everyone is trying to $hit on him.

Tomorrow he comes out of dog house, and all these guys will be saying "Ji Sir, Ji Sir".

Musharraf did not make a decision as "personal".

He asked his commanders and they all reached a mutual agreement.

So a decision to support USA in 2001 was the Pak army decision and not Musharraf decision.,

For Brutus is an honorable man - Antony in Julius Caesar True for Gen.Pasha at the moment .

A single call from Riyadh or Washington and the Ganjas will personally take him to Benazir Intl , Airport after giving him guard of honor and respectfully send him to the Kingdom .

Good luck explaining the ' decisions aren't made in isolation ' part to radicals and idealistic people , mate .

Who's the scapegoat at the moment ? Since , everything from the coup to emergency was somehow done by Musharraf alone .

But we cannot deny this fact as well that there are weak spots in our infrastructure,we should diagnose them and reover them, before it is too late.
