The Special Operations Group (SOG) officials arrested a former Bangladeshi armyman from the Bhuj railway station on Friday who was reportedly found in suspicious condition. The man has been identified as Shamim-ul- Amin Abbas Alikhan (36) of Daulatpur in Bangladesh.
The SOG officials said Shamim was discharged from the Bangladeshi Army in 2008. After that he reportedly got into fishing business, police said. According to police, Shamim is expert in handling modern arms of defence forces and he might be in the state for arms transaction. However, the police has not found any suspicious material or document from him. The suspect has been sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre in Bhuj for further interrogation.
