I know and he got more than that in return from india. Taliban gave them nothing but this doesn't mean any group of ppl can make a team and enter in ICC tournament and use the country's name without govt authorization.

But they could have allowed Indians to finish in just 10 overs. The result would have been the same on NRR.

The issue is somewhere else. I would say not all but some players (including the captain) are involved in fixing. One of the strong reasons that supports this theory is that two bowlers who gave 7 runs each and one of them took one of the only two wickets were not given the ball again by the captain. Instead, those who gave between 10-15 completed their quota.

But the above doesn't mean that Afghanistan can beat India.. India would have beaten Afghanistan even without any fixing. I think Indians only needed enough increase in the NRR to keep their hopes alive.

Off course it can not be proven but the thing I felt which was most odd was? Why the Afghan team did not use the brand new shining ball for fast bowlers to swing? Why no attack? Why using spinners from the start? They played very well against Pakistan but their performance against India makes ample room for speculation. Some sort of foul play might be involved there. The way Shoaib Akhter was speaking last night in an interview, it seemed he was saying yes they must have taken money, but lets not be too harsh on them as they were playing without government support.... which means they could see the future is seems bleak, lets make as much money as we can! If any match was to be fixed, and any team was most prone to giving up easily for money that was Afghan team. Though lets see how India performs against all big teams in the future that are unlikely to accept any fixing. England, South Africa, Australia vs Pakistan, New Zealand & Probably India now I hope there's no foul play involved in future matches! It would be so close and every match would be nail biting!
