When did being "desi" ever enter the conversation? @Wa Muhammada mentioned Parsis along with Hindus because both of you are lumped in the same basket of belonging to old, superstitious religions (and you agree with this classification).

Parsis have married non-Parsis from the region, hence why your genetic makeup has far more South Asian ancestry than your average Iranian. So yes, you are "desi" by lineage too.

The two of you have been one for thousands of years.

I don't ever recall a time Muslims and Hindus were one without either party subjugating the other (in the context of this region).
