Eva zu Beck - Promoting tourism in Pakistan

No one in Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, New Zealand or even Cuba would give ANY vloger a free honorary citizenship over any picture or vlog no matter how much free publicity Switzerland
I am not saying she should get citizenship [although she should get full government support] but you comparing Pakistan with Switzerland etc is plain wrong. The Swiss have one of the greatest soft power on earth. Say "Swiss" at any airport and doors fling open. Say "Pakistan" at any airport in the world and doors swing shut.

Swiss also have all their civilians armed.

And do you know why and how?

When Pakistani khud apni citizenship ki koi izzat nai kertay, har aglay gora who smiles at you deserves a citizenship ....tou bahar kay log khak izzat kerain gay?

I am saying say thank you to her and move on....You will not even see Thais wanting to give "honorary citizenship" to any backpack travelers or vlogers who have filmed them or promoted their tourism...NO!

They will support their govt and only their people in doing and ONLY thank the others who are helping...After all it is human to help but that shouldnt be the ultimate reason you got citizenship....We didnt ask for her help she helped, so good...She also managed to sell her photos and give talks ...so she cashed in and benefited herself ALSO based on her passion...it wasnt all free...its a way of life/ a profession / a lifestyle!

I think Eva is doing a great job for Pakistan, showing how beautiful the country is, here in West, very negative image and perception is highly visible in Western media, Eva being western is countering western propaganda and showing its safe for any tourist to visit Pakistan.

Maybe people of GB should be given complete citizenship .... almost all of foreign tourists main purpose is to visit GB so before giving tourists citizenship while they visit PAKISTAN(GILGIT-BALTISTAN) i think the region they are visiting should get their basic rights ??

Of course. All Pakistan ever needed was a stamp of approval from a 20 year old white girl to be considered positive. :enjoy:

Yes I do. I could give you the long answer but I will abbreviate the reasons as -

Anything negative is attributed to 'Pakistan'. Bombs, guns, killing, terrorists, anarchy, chaos, extremism, poverty and the list goes on etc

Anything positive is never attributed to 'Pakistan' or recieves minimal exposure as 'Pakistani'.

It's not like Pakistan does not have positives but because Pakistan has failed to give exposure to them as 'Pakistani' and or sold them as "Asian, Apna, Desi, Indian, Muslim" the result is brand Pakistan is only associated with negatives giving the country terrible perception across the world. Pakistan certainly does not have bad peception because it has been handing out citizenships.

I mean the truth is India is full of shyte and has more negatives then Pakistan ever will have. But in the international perception India is known for Taj Majal, Indian food, Indian fashion, Indian history, Indian architecture, Indian Music. The funny thing is Pakistan actually helps in fueling Indian success by working to help brand India. Half of the musicians, artists or food is of Pakistani extraction. But that matters nought as it is branded as Indian.

The other day I was listening to Nazia Hasan the 1980s pop star. Apparently she had and still has huge following in Latin America. In the comment section she was sold as "Indian music".

Mate, here in UK you talk to any westerner about visiting Pakistan, first thing will come to their minds is terrorism and bombs going off so that puts them off.

Well **** it. Maybe they shouldn't visit in that case. I don't think Pakistanis are dying without them coming anyway.

The British are far more reserved about Pakistan. Americans positively detest Pakistan and consider it as camel terrorist sanctuary.

Maybe they shouldn't visit in that case.
Easy for you to say. You have done one better by moving and living "in a sea of whites". Tourism bring jobs to the poor in Pakistan who don't have a US passports. It's not like a poor guy in Swat has choice to move and live in Texas, USA.

Mmmm like you!

The pakistan vlogger asked all of them in US, if they want to visit India or Pakistan, If at least 1 lady told pakistan, then can confidently tell that pakistan tourism in upward trend, but that is not happening...

India is having lot of attraction like rain forest, yoga, bollywood, medical tourism, various landscape from snow to desert, rivers to beaches etc...

Its extremely unfortunate Pakistan has done nothing to promote tourism and show it in a good way, if the previous governments spent a lot of time and energy in developing infrastructure in northern Pakistan, Pakistan could have earned a lot of much needed cash to improve its economy, Pakistan has one of the best scenic mountains on earth, hopefully the new GOP will improve tourism in Pakistan.

I consider northern areas of Pakistan a national treasure, so the less commercialized and touristy it is the better. I prefer it be untouched rather than pimped and whored out to the highest bidder. And don't worry about the poor guy from Swat. He wasn't going hungry during the sanctions in the 90's, so I'm sure he'll be fine today.

Btw it was NYC, and then Texas.
