Europe has picked a side in the new Cold War – China

.
True. That's what I've said all along. The funny, ridiculous thing is Europeans love to think they still matter, they're still the powers China fears, and they're still the nobles everyone looks up to for standards of actions. They want prestige, wealth, and fear from others but they are not willing to work for what they want. So they got on the American bus to get free rides. When the roads become bumpy and the bus breaks down often due to weights, the bus operator will need to kick these free riders off the bus. Some even got thrown under the bus. LOL.
Thats how the arrogant racist Europeans are talking and acting on China all the time, they think Chinese should fear and treat them just as in the 19th and early 20th century.

Europe is not picking a side with China.

But Europe is picking a side with a peaceful and friendly world.

No more stupid Cold War.

Matter is all relative.

Certainly they matter far more than Russia.
I disagree. Most of the world would disagree. For china, energy and food will matter long and strong after European tech advantages were overcome. For the rest of the world outside the West, European influences will matter less as European economies go down. On the other hand, Russian energy and foods will become more important than Euro to many countries as they grow both in population and industrial capabilities. Eventually for the US, Europeans will be seen as nuisances when policies change.

I don't know how you see otherwise. It's very obvious.

Russia is not contributing much to moving mankind forward. Sure they can supply oil but so can another country like Venezuela...but in the grand scheme of things do you really think that puts Venezuela super high on the "matters" list because they can fill up a bunch of oil tankers better than 95% of the countries on the planet?

Russia is not a heavy hitter when it comes to bringing ideas to the worldwide market that can help people in their day to day lives whether it be technological, medical, or industrial.

It’s better to look at what items were not around say 20 years ago that almost everybody in the world now wants and see who was behind its existence.

What Russian food are you talking about ? Other than wheat Russia has nothing. Russia accounts for 12% of the world's wheat production.

Energy is no good if you cannot afford it. Russia wants to milk the energy consuming countries.
