I will be honest to you. The PTI government is also to be blamed. They had ample time to take action. They haven't. Now chickens are coming home to roost. PIA should have been dismantled from day one when PTI took office. At a minimum, the government should have reduced staff and assets etc. Nothing happened.

No doubt sir PTI government is so relateable with a 'Turtle' or I should say even they both have no comparison because turtle still keeps on progressing in his direction slowly but PTI government is progressing after wasting huge chunks of time.

I think the time they needed to revisit their Civil Aviation and Aviation industry is now there, if they're loyal then they should bring reforms in the form of either employing foreign nationals from different countries on heading/leading positions or dismantle all these PALPA and other local bodies union within PIA, Civil Aviation and other local airlines. I think 6 months is enough!

I seriously doubt after getting banned from EU and UK, PIA will surely gonna get banned from Gulf too, which means "Falling off the cliff directly with no chance or very less chance of survival"

These European cowards don't have the courage to do that. They will continue to use our airspace just like they continue to use our supply routes.

I mean if Pakistani national flag career is not allowed in European air space, what ever the pretext, Pakistani air space should be automatically banned for all European registered airlines as a result.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi Friday said all 236 suspected pilots had been suspended as they were issued licenses during the erstwhile governments of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Taking to twitter, he said passenger's safety was the first priority.

"Rest assured all the persons involved in this scam will be taken to the task," he said. Giving the break up of the licenses issued by the previous governments, he said in 2010, eight licenses, in 2011, 20 licenses, in 2012, 28 licenses, in 2013, 20 licenses, in 2014, 12 licenses, in 2015, 25 licenses, in 2016, 39 licenses, in 2017, 46 licenses and in 2018, 38 licenses were issued during the PPP and PML-N governments.
