'Offer' will certainly be followed by further discussions at the top level and trade agreements signed. China will lose credibility if it flip-flops over bilateral trade issues. I personally expect many companies from Kunming/other areas to invest in the fields that China has offered to let free access of goods produced there.

I am hoping of this type of investment because our own investors may not have enough capital, technology and management know-how to produce these goods, hence Chinese investment is needed. In the long run, however, our local companies will be capable to handle the same.

Hasina Bibi listens to you. So, if it is an important public works project, then ask her to fix the annual waterlogging in Dhaka that causes our womenfolk to raise Sari above the knees. It may not be a fancy project but it is a necessity.

It is easier to solve Dhaka waterlogging than in Chittagong. Why Chittagong is difficult? It is because the Karnaphuli river water level rises when it is Spring tide (জোয়ার) two times a day. It rises to {Mean Sea Level (MSL)+ 4.5m} making it difficult to dispose the City rainwater. Dhaka is easier, but not to dispose to Buriganga or other rivers.

However, I do not expect you or Hasina will do any thing that does not glitter with foreign dollars.
