If you send me a link where I can watch would be more help,
It's been few years since I tried to get into Iranian cinema because of few articles I had reas. But gave up due to not finding anything with subtitles.

There are so many avenues of collaboration between Pakistan, Iran and Turkey, such a shame they are not being explored in a meaningful way.

Politics and religion gets in the way with Iran unfortunately.

As far as Turkey, we converge on many levels. Same for Afghanistan.

Arab culture also is very similar to Pakistani culture. I found them to have similar values to us as well.

A little bit of Arabic knowledge goes a long way in breaking the ice. They may seem stand offish at first, but you have to realize that it is just their culture.

Thank you for the link,
I agree with Turkish, and obviously Afghan cultures being similar, but to me it seems we are extremely close to the Persians, although they are somewhat arrogant, and the Saudi factor has stopped us thus far, time to over come that.
With the Arabs, i think its the religious aspect that makes us feel closer but culturally I do not see the similarities, whereas with other three there is religious and cultural similarities and links.
Previously I had few male Arab friends, i did not feel much cultural connection, there was a bond but culture is something else, 2 girlfriends as well but they were both half caste so not fully Arab.
Because you know the languages, and have actually lived there as well, i accept you'l have a deeper insight, I've just not felt that cultural link myself as yet.

This thread is very very funny.

Ertugrul was a pagan.
Even his son Ataman was a Pagan for most part of his life.

Above is the truth,
what is shown on TV is washing machine washed history...

Addictive? I couldn't even get past the first few minutes of the first episode? Anyone can tell it is going to be extremely boring story with no real plot or suspense, the elements that make for a great story. But I can see why Pakistanis love it, after all, Pakistani created content like our dramas are even worse in terms of quality. They are basically made for low IQ, uneducated people. Compared to ordinary Pakistani content, this Turkish drama is a breath of fresh air

Most of our Sufi saints migrated from Central Asia and are of Turkish heritage.

They migrated from Central Asia and Afghanistan, but most were not Turks, they were racially Iranian/Aryan. The Turks have never been particularly observant or pious Muslims

I have seen all 5 seasons aswell. I love the way they show the family system where respect is shown to elders and elders also show respect and love to the younger generation. The love for Quran, Islam and Awliyah is amazing.

I use netflix to watch it, I am still waiting for Usman to be available.

Meanwhile watch YunusEmre on Netflix. Mind blowing although its slow for some people.
