Before I joined the forum,I saw many Erdogan fans here,many Pakistanis and some Turks too. Mostly Islamist Pakistanis.

Looks good but is it a good idea you are going to house every defense personal institutions in same manner which can be targeted easily by your enemy. US made the pentagon hosting every part of its defense institutions , but US has very slim chance of being attack by enemy unlike Turkey so it would be better spread the command control center to make difficult for enemy to target and destroy easily.

The US has multi nodes of commands if Pentagon is taken out other nations don’t have that luxury especially Turks.

I wasn’t a fan of his but liked his hard approach but often times he’s two faced he can’t take a position and stand on it. He’s the type who has power but doesn’t know what to do, but has to do something. He lacks strategic depth in thinking.

Nice building. Logically thinking, Turkey is a decent sized country and a growing economy. It needs to climb from it's current 19-20th top economy down to top 10 and then these expansion views would make sense. Turkey doesn't and will not have a global force of any kind, whether army, navy or air force so it doesn't make logical sense. Next to Turkey is Germany, France, on the other side KSA.....all these are bigger powers than Turkey (KSA may be at the same level but MUCH ahead money wise).

Lastly, putting all 3 military commands in one place also doesn't make sense. The Pentagon is strategic in nature, the commands are dispersed (if you must follow the US system). The US CENTCOM's HQ is on the other side of the coast in Florida many states away from the Pentagon.

From what I read a bit ago,food prices have gone up 30% since last year and 3% since July. Inflation is now at 19,25% in Turkey. I think such massive buildings and monuments are to impress and show the power and prestige of Turkey,according to Erdogan.

what year are you talking about? I know for a fact that between 18 and 20 rupees was equal to the pound and 9 or ten to the dollar in 1985. how do I know? I was living there at that time and was getting money from the UK.
