Erdoğan, Trump, and the Strongman Politics Devastating Turkey’s Economy

Egypt? is this before or after they work with Israel to close the gaza strip border whenever israel tells them to?

Egypt under Sisi.

Erdogan has a political agenda for the region, that is the problem. He does not seek to cooperate genuinenly. The muslim brotherhood is the problem. He supports them all over, in Egypt when they fell he turned all of Egypt hostile. In Iraq he supports Nujaifi which is our MB head. in Qatar he already has his MB friend.

This interference is what causes hostility.

....Erdoğan has called on the citizenry to trade in their dollars for lira (“to protect the honor of the Turkish lira”), and the Central Bank has restricted sales of foreign currencies...
This is an old trick. Its purpose is to destroy the savings of the middle class. Then only the allied very rich and the dependent poor remain. No independent wealth = no way to fund opposition.

Why is the OP taking pleasure in the fact that Turkey is facing economic challenges? You may disagree with the government, but when the economy suffers, the people suffer. Embracing the idea of collateral damage (to the people) is cruel and does not suit a civilized mind.

Sisi has been called the "most pro israel egyptian president ever", and you dare mention him as an example of standing up to israel??

Saudi Arabia decided they dont like the MB anymore so now all its little arab colonies follow suit and now MB are the biggest enemy? Morsi won the election in Egypt, Sisi's military overthrew the democratically elected Morsi then he became president in a sham election! Sisi is a Zionist pig so it is very fitting that KSA/UAE support him so much

BREAKING: the U.S will impose more sanctions on Turkey
Turkey could just bow down and kiss Trump's feet and agree to be milked for hundreds of billions of dollars of weapons that it doesn't need I guess.

Oh, but it's not a post-colonial slave mentality nation like KSA and the other Persian Gulf Kingdoms.

For Iran it's good opportunity, with down fall of Turkish economy and stopping of TOT from west, Iran will become the regional power.

He is doing what "Honorless Gulfies" does. Not surprising for us.

Well I didn't know we (Iraq) is a Saudi colony that's some news to me, Nujaifi of the Iraqi Islamic party (MB) is seen as an enemy by the Iraqi gov.

So what's new with it, Egypt is a dictatorship just like nearly every middle eastern country. And as far as it looks like Erdogan is not that different, he'll probably rule till he's 80. Sisi looks like an Egyptian nationalist to me who is working to strengthen Egypt. Israel is not dear to him, he simply does what serves his interests. Turkey itself is not exactly the major anti-Israel bastion, it doesn't go beyond words.

Arabs shouldn't side with the west to put Turkey down, and Erdogan should drop his Muslim Brotherhood shit as well. If he refuges that, what can you expect?

More like Turkey, Iran and others could join forces against the slaves of the west in the region

Its amazing why the arabs think bowing down to the U.S is the only way forward

It makes no sense why they have become such ball suckers

Turkey will not joint. If they had to join they would have supported Assad. Now suddenly a U turn will be a blunder for domestic politics. People will not trust him.

And why one has to join. One should remain independent.

Pfft of course they will if interests align

At the moment interests of numerous states from Russia to China, From Turkey to Pakistan, Iran are aligned

Hell even EU, Canada and Mexico are tired of US hegemony
