what a stupid comment. You get aid from the US and use that money for the military. You would have to spend your own money for the military if the US did not help. But you use the US aid, therefore, you use your own money for the other things. It helps your economy. Besides you improve technology because of that aid also US technology transfer.

Exactly we import more that export. But you miss one little thing. Oil and Natural gas importing take a big amount of percent. We don't have enough oil and natural-gas sources. As you know our economy is rapidly growing. We must feed its energy hunger.
so we import energy and use it to produce our own goods. In short term this may not effect us. of course in long term, we will see its damage on our economy. Now we have the answer of "why current gov. wants nuclear plant?" question. I hope soon we will have 2 nuclear plants to generate electricity and feed our hunger. After that we will reduce our import ratios no doubt.

If you look at the picture of Turkiye wisely, you can see that taking this risk is not dangerous.if you can't manege that, this is dangerous for Turkiye.

US does not make any technology transfers. US gives us some weapons. Thats all. Overal US aid is about 1/5 of Israeli military budget. That means without US aid we wuld have less tanks less planes etc. Instead 400 F-15 and F-16 we would have 300. Would it change much? In many ways US aid hinders us because we are take US equipment instead own we cant export to some countries like China. We also could reduce welf to orthodox and arabs which would also only benefit economy.

Having your own rating agency because you got a bad rating is like having your own olympic games because you did not win anything. What is the use of it, will other investors use your rating to invest in you which will clearly be biased.
Not that S&P and others are perfect( they were terribly wrong and should take some blame for the financial crisis) but still they will be trusted more.

Yeah most of countries. As far as i know, Australia has the same problem. Even France and Canada have the same problem. Did they reduce their ratings? No... They riced failed Greece's rating up. This is just double standard of double faced western rating agency..

I do not think in the near future such a thing possible. Almost all muslim countries economically and technologically depended on western countries although they have raw materials and oils. Besides there is no awareness and conscious of united muslims. even reach muslim countries do not care to be united or act together with muslim countries; only they care to keep their interests and existence. Also, there are a lot of conflict among the muslim countries.

I agree that the prospect is not the near future as well, but in the longer run it is quite possible. There is not unity among Muslim countries, but that wasn't the case either with Western/EU countries. US led the way and they followed. We need a leader in the Muslim world who is credible, strong, fair and intelligent. Without a leader we can't speak about unity.
