Per capita being the word of significance. Most countries are. Algeria also has a higher gdp per capita than India.

Thing is honour. Always in my childhood I used to read how we should and would never allow anyone to look at Pakistan with a bad eye, unfortunately we have lost that spirit.

Even Iran is struggling with these threats from Saudi Arabia and US, but by God's grace, they are still here and going strong.

Heck, our Nuclear program was started with the phrase: "Pakistanis will eat grass, but a nuclear bomb we will build." Times when benefits of country were given priority over personal benefits.
Per capita is a better (of course accuracy is still debatable) measure of quality life for each citizen than the overall GDP, I don't think a country which have few thousand elites who can send their children to Harvard , Oxford while majority live in dirt is anywhere near successful. Yes, they have higher per capita than India, but I am talking about Pakistani affairs, and I dont like to drag India in every conversation because India doesnt matter to me.

Maybe Iran is successful / going strong as you say, but I dont think I remember any Iranian I met that was very happy with what is happening in their country, heck there were times when their currency crashed so hard that it was difficult for them. And dont forget the literacy rate of Iranians, they have a lot of PhD and higher education scholars in many places.

Actually a lot of blue collar migrant workers (mostly Bangladeshi, Indonesian, but there are several thousand Pakistanis also) end up in Malaysia either after being cheated by deceitful agents or by their own will thinking they would get lot of money, and then they get detained and deported (if they can pay for their own return ticket) by the law enforcement over there because they don't have proper documentation or rights over there, not very different from the things you hear about labors in the middle east

True but as most of working labor is scattered around the GCC, we just cannot afford to lose that workforce , or make decisions which makes life for these workers hell in GCC .

If SA threatens us with such extreme steps, can we not threaten them with an alliance with Iran and also by withdrawing our Nuclear Umbrella, removal of our Military forces from SA and by threatening Saudi Arabia with military assistance in training and intel to Iran, Turkey etc.??

Can they really afford to let us go? Seriously????

No we can not, just to understand the influence of GCC and KSA alone, they once attacked by Iran has paid for US Armed forces to defend them . They are sitting a huge percentage of Oil reserves , mixed that with Other GCC and you understand, Iran can never be a replacement for KSA, and Turkey will not break any ties with Pakistan over one Summit .

It's quite an assumption to assume that the Turkish president is assuming. The state media has made a direct quotation.
It's also quite amusing to see how people are ready to believe a third force where as something like this would give opposition in Pakistan every opportunity to slay IK.

And as usual Pak Govt. is now fucked.
When your weak and poor. Others will fcuk you. That is law of nature. Saudia Arabia was being a ummah brother by threatening to kick Pakistan in the a*ss and send it packing if PMIK had taken part in the Erdogan/Mahatir summit. Pay your taxes, build your economy. Work hard, export more then terrorism, cotton, bearded madaris labour and instead sell cars, computers, trucks, ships like South Korea and Pakistan can stand on it's feet, be a real sovereign state. Then say "fcuk off to Saudia".

Until then they will treat us as cheap [corrected] slave.. All the while we will lick Saudi [corrected] posterior .....

Turkish president says Saudi threatened to withdraw money from State Bank, replace Pakistani labour with Bangladeshis.

Who else is willing to employ 4 million Pakistanis?

4 million people mean 3-4 million associated families or 24-28 million people (Amma,Abba, biwi aur 2-3 Bache minimum).

That is more than 10% population as direct dependants.

We have to either stop breeding or diversify our diaspora to other places as well.

So Erdogan accused Imran Khan of being a small man in big office?

How is that helpful for unity in the beloved Ummah?

tsk tsk tsk

Facts on the ground dictates...
We are economically very very dependent on Middle Eastern nations like UAE and Saudis. We are in no position to challenge them. For any responsible leader it is necessary to make rational considerations before making any decision that may hurt the cause of Pakistan as a nation. "In my opinion, not going to Malaysia was the right decision". We are not Malaysia neither Turkey.

Guys,

can anyone find a link to the speech?

TRT news is to be taken with a pinch of salt. It is more likely that KSA and UAE would have agreed to convert their $10 Billion USD deposit into a loan in an effort to persuade Pakistan to stay away from the Turkish led alliance. Given that the Arabs have an unfriendly relationship with Turkey and Iran, this is a reasonable expectation from them.

Pakistan would have had a choice to decide what was in their self interest. I think that Pakistan has chosen wisely in this case :-)

Since the death of King Faisal (RA) by his CIA backed nephew, the kingdom has never been the same again. Today SA,UAE and USA are a nexus of evil(Dajjali illuminatis) and we should try to stay away from them as much as possible. Unfortunately this nexus controls our Establishment,Media,Mollahs,Govts and a big segment of our society. I for one staunchly support our tried and tested alliance with Turkey and China.
Meanwhile here is another link to the Erdogan story!!!
