Erdogan ‘Made Worst Turkey's Nightmares a Reality'

Turkey is in a state of shock trying to overcome all the misfortunes that have befallen the country because of its authoritarian ruler, German newspaper Die Tageszeitung wrote.

On the one hand, Turkey is witnessing a war between government forces and the Kurds, on the other — the country faces a serious threat of Islamist terrorism, the article said.

All this is happening against the background of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan trying to "transform" the state in his own way and force everyone in the country to be faithful and obedient to his policies, the newspaper wrote.

Erdogan did his best to consolidate his power: the government has weakened the Kurdish political movement, criminalized the opposition and deprived people of the right to express their opinions. New security laws went on to restrict the right of demonstration, enabling the police to open fire on activists who demonstrate "aggressive" behavior, even in cases when it did not came to a direct attack.

The situation concerning freedom of speech, which Erdogan so "highly appreciates," worsens every day. Turkey has blocked numerous websites and sent to prison a number of journalists, accusing them of espionage.

The fact that the EU has turned a blind eye to massive human rights violations because it awaits Turkish assistance in resolving the immigration crisis only worsens the situation in the country and unties Erdogan's hands.

"The country is divided more than ever: there is a huge gap between the rich and poor, secular and religious life, 'east' and ‘west,'" the article said.

"The state is seeking to protect the interests of the government, while people who suffer from the lawlessness of the authorities remain helpless," the newspaper concluded.

I always try to look into these articles from an objective point of view, but this is really one sided(which is expected from Sputnik, RT, BMP or any Russian/German propaganda news outlet). Its seems since the start of the Syrian civil war, the Western/Russian media really did a 180 on Erdogan. I remember reading daily about the "Sultan" that is building a powerfull democratic secular Turkey. Now its all about how he is greedy for power, is "oppresing" Kurds and etc etc.

I mean i dont like the guy much myself but holy shitt talk about people being sheeps.

When the same happened in Chinese Xinjiang, Erdogan: "Human rights, start the peace talks again, ETIM is not terrorist'' :blah::blah::blah:

What goes around comes around.

Unless Turkish security forces started busting innocent Kurdish peoples houses and start setting people on fire with flame throwers, you really dont get to talk about Human rights lol.

those people burned by flame throwers were not just people, they were wimps who just murdered more than 50 people when they were sleeping two months ago. They deserved what they got.

Russia unveils 'proof' Turkey's Erdogan is smuggling Isis oil across border from Syria | Europe | News | The Independent

Russia has unveiled what it describes as proof that Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his family have benefited from the illegal smuggling of oil from Isis-held territory.

Cry on as much and as long as you can, but Murad i Ilahi can't be changed. If you only knew!!

Your strong charged Faith on Allah always impresses me. On the topic, Every leader has his own shortcomings and Mr. Erdogan is no different but we also know, now a days, any country who has strong leader supported by masses of public, propaganda against him is unleashed by western media or western supported puppets in the country just to create strife and misunderstanding in the country, targeting the unity of nation.

May we all get rid of terrorism and safeguard our national interests successfully. Ameen.

His daughter died with him.....small coffin at the right belongs to her....Terrorists explode a 1200 kg bomb near their house.

Bast**d Sc*ms they are......I hope they will be put in their place in this life and afterwards.

Oh man, Sir, you know very well that now a days, war is not imposed on border, it is imposed within country. Objectives are achieved through destabilization of countries. I fear that someone behind PKK is pulling all the strings, a very strong one. How can a group of thugs can take on whole country for such long time. From where they are having their motivation? arms supply? training? I think world powers are not liking the way Turkey becoming emerging power with vibrant and healthy economy and also the unity of nation pisses those elite off. The important thing is Turks are united and ready to confront their enemy either within country or at border.

Do you know that Pakistan never had a single suicide attack unless US came in Afghanistan? Pakistan and Turkey are facing situation which is strikingly similar. You can overcome this problem on your own, i know, but there is no harm in taking help from your ally aka Pakistan. We will be over joyed if we can help Turkey, we are now having 70% decline in terrorist attacks, thanks to our Generals and LEAS. Our counter terrorism strategy is proven, mate.

My hearts break out to all those families who lost their lives in terrorism, I hope and know Turkey will overcome this mess. In Sha Allah.

Take care, have a nice day.

Lot of prayers, Peace and love to Turkey from Karachi, Pakistan.
