Dünya Kadınlar Günü Programı'nda konuşan Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan, son dönemde bazı isimlerin kadınlara yönelik sözlerine sert tepki gösterdi. Erdoğan, din adına ortaya çıkarak kadınlar hakkında İslam'da yeri olmayan içtihatta bulunduklarını söylediği kişileri "marjinaller" olarak nitelendirerek, "İslam'ın güncellenmesinin gerektiğini bilmeyecek kadar da aciz bunlar. Siz İslam'ı 14 asır öncesi hükümleri ile bugün uygulayamazsınız. Beni birçok hocaefendi tefe koyacak o ayrı mesele. Rabbim bizi tefe koymasın" diye konuştu

Wow! MaashALLAH!

First of all to our Turkish members.. I had a very hard time trying to decide whether I should post this with an English title or just post it in ülke yönetimi in Turkish.

Because I am NOW realizing that all those acts of Erdogan to the islamist world was nothing but acting in order to get the popularity of these countries for the political and economic benefit of our country. So I didnt want to harm this obvious state policy of our country by posting it in English. But then I realized..

Hey.. This guy is openly sending these messages.. IN ORDER to show to our nation that he is a reformist, not a traditionalist, and that he along with his advisers and state bureaucracy must have thought that we open minded but a bit slow and politically unexperienced part of our nation DESERVES to know it finally!

Then I thought.. Hey, there are open minded people in all islamist countries trying to understand what is going on.. So they deserve to know it just as much as I do!

That is why I shared this here in English titles.

And btw, my vote is definitely going for him, a far better option than damned socialists and communists in our political spectrum who would only destroy our economy for some cheap popularity.

Go Go, Mr President!

If this is his genuine feeling not political maneuver, I give him the credit, very wise understanding of the world than other middle east fanatics.

It was truly a political statement given on a specific occasion .

Ijtehad is the way forward.

Some people (Islam hating liberals usually) jump up and down thinking that is a concept that the west have put forward. Shariah has been updated thousands of times, the underlying principles are the ones that always remain the same. Halal will never be haram, haram will never be halal. To do so is an act of kufr. Everything else is open to Ijtehad.

1400 years ago during the time of Hazrat Umar (ra), the law about cutting the hand of the thief was suspended because there was a famine, hence there were exceptional conditions where this was not right to do. Later it was restored. Only barbarians and those self hating secularists who are equally jahil about Islam and sharia consider it an archaic and failed legal system.

Turkey should take the lead in fighting Femicide which prevails in many Muslim countries. Turkey should allow its women to marry Non-Muslims like how Tunisia is liberalizing its society by lifting ban.

A recent 2015 poll by Metropoll found that over 80% of Turkish people supported the continuation of Turkey as a secular state, with even the majority of AKP voters supporting a secular state. Furthermore, according to a 2016 Pew Research Center Report, only 13% of all Turks believe laws should "strictly follow the teachings of the Qur'an."
Religious liberalization will help solve issues with Kurds & other smaller sects. Yazdânism & all other ancient cultures needs to be researched & preserved

I may not have much knowledge of Turkey neither am I worried or concerned of your internal affairs, I just thought to share my personal view. You will see in our discussions here or anywhere, we will hardly bring Turkey in our discussions or show hatred even if it's a religious discussion. Reason because we have a progressive & secular image of Turkey

It didnt seemed like that. Lately many "clerics" taking courage from the conservative government, has started talking a lot. I think finally even Erdogan had enough, decided they were defiling the image of Islam he was trying to build. I mean dudes were talking about how having sex in elevators was not wrong, how we should beat women and women should thank for it, children can marry etc.

@Nalini Marrying people from other religions is not banned in Turkey. Premarital sex is not banned either.

Turkish women can marry anyone they want? There is no law that forbids it, where did you even hear such thing?

There is no Yezidi community to research and the issue with Kurds is much deeper and complex.
