I think the immediate concern is Taliban power and how the normal " dormant" extremists groups inside Pakistan reacts to them. I mean PDF is full of extremists Taliban supporters and their power would.give purpose to zillion extremists groups inside the country.
But PCB should be paid in losses. The cricket loving public and common citizens shouldn't be punished by a few but significant percentile of extremists.

And since those tours Afghanistan fell apart. Tensions with Iran. Tensions with India (Butt hurt because of Afghan) This opens up the possibility of threats from any one of those nations looking to make Pakistan look bad.
