Sargodha: There was some technical fault in one helicopter of Pakistan Air Force and then emergency landing happened near 92 Morh Sargodha ,today.

A PAF spokesman told media that the emergency landing was made after some technical fault was found, adding that the crew remain safe during the landing,Thanks God that this landing happened with safe.Now the technical expert team is looking the matter of technical fault.

Thaat heli is not of PAF as shown in the picture from the link. That is an AS350 Ecueril from Pak Army Aviation. Look at the squadron sign there. God Bless our journalsits.

^^^,,,the heli was in fact of PAF, Mi-17, but the first link had posted a pic of army aviation heli. These people should get the right pics first!!.....The crew is safe, the heli is safe, all well and fine.!,,,,there is also a flight engineer in an Mi-17 if i am not wrong., but the article states two pilots only, no laod master or anybody else.

Military always says technical fault occurs no matter what, but this case, seems to be technical fault.

SARGODHA (INP) - A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) helicopter made an emergency landing due to technical fault at a village here Tuesday.
Police said the helicopter made crash landing near Village-92 (Northern) due to technical fault. Eyewitnesses said that the helicopter’s tail side caught fire.

However, they added that the copter landed safely near a farm. Police and PAF officials reached the site and cordoned off the area. Investigation has been launched.

Chopper makes emergency landing

ISLAMABAD: An MI-17 helicopter of the Pakistan Air Force made an emergency landing on Tuesday at Chhota Sargodha airfield in the vicinity of 92 Mor District Sargodha. The helicopter developed a technical fault while it was conducting a routine training flight. However, it did not suffer any damage, a PAF statement said. An investigation has been initiated and the aircraft is being repaired, the statement said. app

Pakistani Mi-17 Helicopter Made an Emergency Landing Near Sargodha


A Mi-17 helicopter of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) made an emergency landing at an outskirt village in Sargodha after its helicopter’s tail section caught fire.




Due to successful landing, both pilots and the civilians on the ground remained safe. Pakistan air force has launched investigation to determine the cause of the fire.


Mi-17 is a Russian made helicopter which is in wide spread use in Pakistan for the Search & Rescue operations and for troop movements in war against terrorism.
