This can be beneficial for both parties, JI needs to distance itself from being clubbed with imposters like JUI and PTI needs to balance it with JI's Islamic outlook.

JI can enjoy the popular support PTI has been blessed with recently, most people will look at it JI coming to help and rescue of PTI in difficult times, especially when PTI is battling alone the rest of corrupt tola, this will surely portray JI in positive light in eyes of many common Pakistanis.

Plus to free Karachi and most importantly Sindh from clutches of PPP, this alliance is necessary and it has to be long term.

JI has credibility in religious circles, organizational skills and dedicated workers. They can help boost PTI at this time.

The other party I would recommend would be Tahir-ul-Qadri of Minhaj-ul-Quran. They did the dharnas in Islamabad together. Qadri is a very powerful speaker and his workers are amazingly committed. I wish he had been made president.

Futile move since most of the PTI local body winners are in hiding due to on slaught military crack down on PTI. PPP Sindh govt and Karachi ISI sector in charge will make sure that PTI counselors do not show up on the Mayor voting day or some of them vote for PPP. PPP only need 7 turncoats or absence of few PTI voters which shouldn't be that difficult to 'manage' these days.

So unfortunately, PPP Mayor is coming. That Murtaza Wahab guy will be Khi mayor.

I admire Tahir ul Qadri works. But do you really think he has the guts to stand up to the current generals?

In addition to being an experienced politician, JI is familiar with how to organize rallies under the army's rule. It is important for IK to have their experience, so they can bring a greater number of religious parties together.In need of time, this alliance will bring great pressure on PDM, which is backed by the army establishment.

His political party is called Pakistan Awami Tehreek, his party workers are all educated people, engineers, doctors, teachers etc. They don't have the support to win elections because you need educated and intelligent people to understand his message, also millions of dollars. In the western world, if you visit their centres, they always talk about Pakistan, Pakistan movement, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, no other movement does this, noone even celebrates Pakistan day but his movement does.

Its not about guts but about your goals, Dr Tahir ul Qadri does not believe in destroying Pakistan to achieve political goals, he wants to change the people so slowly the whole nation will change, he believes in education. So no he will not rebel against the generals, he does however send books to the generals so they could change their minds.

I wasn't talking about Imran Khan , even IK is not against the army or generals. Some of his fans are making it out to be but its not correct. His official stance is he is pro Pakistan army and army includes generals. He just wants free and fair elections and wants the power given to the people, he only speaks against the brutal policies which is his right.

Dr Tahir ul Qadri on the other hand doesn't want to openly criticise the army/generals because they will destroy him and the hard work he has done since 1980s. He wants all stakeholders to move forward for a strong Pakistan, he wants to educate them to make better decisions, he even gives his books to generals, judges, politicians, businessmen tycoons, media people but if noone wants to follow then what is he supposed to do?
