I understand that Saudis sometimes exaggerate applying some Islam practices like covering up the face and women driving, but... but... the woman in Islam must not leave without her husbands or father and the guardian in general, and this is mandatory in Islam not in Saudi culture my brother, this is not slavery at all, I can't let my wife leave alone to a distant place for her own safety.

Guys, I can understand non-Muslims critisim but it's absurd to see Muslims criticize it, this is Islam, commit to it or just leave it, not to make it suit your own thoughts and beliefs.

I have noticed this allot, non-Arab who don't understand Arabic inserted many of their cultural beliefs to it, and it's even getting worse. I know that some Arabs did that, but you will never understand Quraan or Hadiths perfectly if you don't understand Arabic, I read Arabic Ayats and the best translations available and they are not the same 100%, it's so beautiful if read it in Arabic.

What I am saying is that I hope people here leave us practice Islam the it has always been for 1400. You guys do whatever you want, it's your own business but keep your beliefs away from us.

Eventually, no one perfect, don't ever learn Islam from the way people act or practice, Quraan firstly and Sahih Hadiths secondly are your only preferences. I know I am not perfect myself.

Yaar God will not put salavation in a book filled with antique era history and call it a religion.
Please, Arabs were the most backward people back then and so they are today and will remain the same in future. They just got lucky because the great plaque wiped half of Europe population and they went around capturing land saying Allah was helping them. Then Europe came back to power and created 22 artificial Anglo-French Arabs states and 1 Jewish state of today. And even funny, Europe used the jesus cross to rise back to power saying God was with them and Islam already declared Christians as infidel so how God is with the infidel helping it against inheritors of Islam aka Arabs and Khalifas of Islam aka Ottomans??? Please use some common sense guys!

We dont need any backwardness anymore, if you think women should not leave the house without male may be your women have have problem but we dont have time for a part time security guard job after 8-10 hours daily at work. Wake up it is 21st century.

Islam says you can learn all you want and you will still not be perfect - what nonsense.
Nobody wrote quran and hadeeth during the life of prophet but after he passed away people remembered to write it down - funny!

Nah! I am very visual and practical, my brain omits things that are veiled, or remotely obscure!

They are rather part of a twisted made-to-suit-some-people-interest interpretation of Islam , I see its implementation every other day in my country ... No where the religion forbids women to drive or to seek permission before doing anything or to be tracked for God's sake !

Saudis themselves say that women driving is not haram in Islam, they would tell you that it's a cultural taboo. As I said before you are free to miss up Islam or leave it or do whatever you want but mind your own business my friend.

Yara, the problem is that, apni maa ka iklota beta hoon, there are certain duties that I have to perform, even if don't agree to.

I always thought, what's the need to get married? But somehow, someone, somewhere convinced my girl friend of 6 years that marriage was the way to go. I suspect my mom!

I just refuse to follow any messed up twisted interpretation of Islam , there are several other progressive Muslim countries in the world nobody adopting such a harsh and unIslamic version !
