Does it amount to questioning their loyalties as Indians or lead to discrimination on that specific account? No it doesn't. All that means is that Indians aren't the most culturally sensitive people out there, even to our own.

I wasn't talking about Pakistan. I was specifically referring you.

The etymology of such vile slurs is of no particular interest to me. My previous post was a mere acknowledgment that such denigrations do occur in India which is a terrible thing. But in all fairness, one would be hard-pressed to point out nations where similar slurs don't exist even in the so-called developed ones. I don't need to delve into the details of the phenomenon to a person from the land of Mohajirs, Hindu baniya mentality/zehniyat and where chants of ''Shia kafir'' are as common as Monday traffic. The trouble starts when discrimination and violence is perpetrated in the capacity of one's allegiance like when Shias are pulled out of buses and shot en masse, having their public processions bombed and religious conversions on national television being the flavor of the week. See where I am going with this?

P.S # Feel free to term the apples any way you wish but the orchard isn't going anywhere out of our sights.
