Two motorbike assemblers in Sahiwal city of Punjab have started working together to manufacture electric motorcycles in Pakistan

As the Petrol prices rising in the country, it has become difficult for most of the middle-class motorbike riders to afford them. It is a need of time for Pakistan to shift to electric vehicles from expensive fuel.

In the last few years, various companies have introduced electric motorbikes in the country. But they could not win public attention because of different reasons. One of them was that they were very costly.

According to the Usman Sheikh, CEO of Auj Technologies, a Lahore-based electric motorcycle company, that they are working on an electric bike which will be budget-friendly. The bike is named after the animal “Jaguar”. Usman Sheikh added that “they are first assemblers of electric bikes in Pakistan, who have designed them locally”.

This remind me of those shi tty directors that copy western movies like bad retarded copy of super man or matrix. so embarrassing.

I don't understand, why do we have gear box and how is it coupled with motor in wheel?
Gears are needed to manage torque.

All cars have gears, including electric cars. However most electric cars do not have nor need a multispeed transmission due to the high torque available over a very wide range of motor speeds. Generally the electric motor is always connected to the drive wheels through a fixed ratio reduction gear.

:s the displayed image is just a generic image of motorbike that company (jaguar) produce. It's their petrol version. And here pdfers started arguing about the technology behind the design, just after looking at the picture. :hitwall::cuckoo:

Please put side mirrors on it and turn signals. Pakistanis like in the 90s still use their hands or look back to show which way they want to go. Geez, need some progression here.

An electric motor can be made to deliver full torque even at low speed, that's the beauty of electrical motor driven vehicles.
What i see in picture is same gear box, which is attached to 50cc external combustion engine.
Hence my question!!!!!! So can you explain now, why same gearbox is needed with electric motor driven bike and where's the mechanical link?

They come with Side Mirrors and the first after buying a bike the owner does is to remove these mirrors.

I'm sure, what's in that box, just by looking at it.
I'm looking for answer of my technical question.
Possible answer:
May be the bike on display is not complete and missing the chain.
Available gear box is cheaper than to redesign the gearbox for electric bike. In this case motor is under powered and control is rudimentary.
