Kashmir is muslim state so most of the votes are already muslim votes in kashmir. Omar abdullah is doing political posturing because he knows that not only kashmiri muslims but also dogra hindus will also not let other indians to settle in the disputed state and it is quite clear why they want to remove article 370 to make other races of indians to come and settle in jammu and kashmir which is unacceptable to both kashmiri muslims and dogra hindus. That was the core reason why article 370 was put in place to ensure that the demography of jammu and kashmir will never ever be compromised.

Majority of kashmiri pandits are still living in jammu region, so technically they are still within the borders of the state of jammu and kashmir.

And India can't use water from these rivers, neither Bharat mata can build dams to store water lol. Combined potential of IoK dams is just 3000mw with run of river dams.

Pakistani Kashmir potential is between 40-50.000mw. With potential of gigantic dams for water storage.

Article 370 like legislation predates J&K's accession. It was Maharaja Hari Singh who introduced the concept of Hereditary State Subject in the state thus barring the non-citizens from taking up employment in Jammu and Kashmir.

For that you don't need Art 370. Even HP, UK and Goa does not allow outsiders to buy Property in state and have 90% jobs reserved for locals. Because of Art 370 you people are at disadvantage vis-a-vis Kashmiri's.

If you want to know people's will then you need to hold a referendum in jammu and kashmir on article 370, it will clear the doubts in the minds of many naive indians living outside jammu and kashmir.

Demand for scrapping Article 370 has come from people of Jammu and Ladakh themselves. This was the reason for BJP winning all seats in Jammu and Ladakh.

Jammu and ladakh people have got fed up with retardedness of Kashmiri's. Kashmiri's have no say in this.

Moreover kashmiris will not be affected much even if the article 370 is removed, it will be Jammu that will be flooded with indian migrants so the actual ethnicity that is going to get eradicated will be that of dogra hindus of jammu.

You should see it in light of plans of resettling KP's in valley.
