Eid Milad Un Nabi (S.A. W) Mubarak

Please provide proof

Eid basic Arabic. Eid is a word, just as nikah is; nothing Islamic to it.

Yes, but in this context, it appears as if people are meaning it in a specific sense and comparing it to the two Eids. However, if what you are telling me is the truth (that people mean it in a general sense), then I apologise for my incorrect assumption. Thank you for educating me.

"every nation has an `Id (i.e. festival) and this day is our `Id."

The practice will always find support and detractors. However, such is normal in Islam but what is important is to not take on the role of Allah and pass judgements. Just provide input and hope for guidance for all.

Agreed.

Blessed be this auspicious day when our master Rasool Allah (saws) was born. He has touched the hearts of billions upon billions, his influence spread the world over from what was then tiny impoverished Arabia and he will be cherished for eternity by man, angels and animals.
Say all the Salam you can, give as much charity as possible and spend time with your family, friends and wider community in remembering the life our master(saws).

My favourite naat of all time, sung by Mushtaq Qadri Attari, may Allah's mercy be upon his soul.

Finding it hard to hold back the tears....
I liked how the Malaysian group did 1 in Urdu :

Thank you very much bro ………… Khair_Mubarak …….
And Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi (SAW) Mubarak to all the Ummah of Last Prophet Of Allah , Hazrat Mustafa Muhammad (SAW).

lol. It's not only lack of stupidy but the the very high level of discussion here that is refreshing. It's always pleasure reading comments by people who know what they are talking about. You actually learn something!
Oh I meant anyone attempting anything suspicious would be stupid to do so :D

Cant remember if I posted this one:

Little bit of Shakespeare might do some good!!!!

Hamlet:
Swear by my sword
Never to speak of this that you have heard.

Ghost:
[Beneath] Swear by his sword.

Hamlet:
Well said, old mole, canst work i' th' earth so fast?
A worthy pioneer! Once more remove, good friends.

Horatio:
O day and night, but this is wondrous strange!

Hamlet:
And therefore as a stranger give it welcome.
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

You can't go wrong IMHO by quoting Shakespeare. The greatest writer in the English language. Much respect !
