What's new

Egypt’s air force able to reach greatest extent in shortest time: Commander

bro. i too read history books.you get sinai back by recognising israel and without Israeli permission Egypt can't militarized Sinai peninsula.your ongoing anti-isis operation was permitted by israel.if Israel wanted to deny, you can't even deploy a single troop in sinai peninsula.

Apparently you haven't. We're allowed quite a bit of military and particularly in zone A. Wait, did you even know it was set up in zones? And why do you suppose this was done? Just like BVR missiles are kept away from us with every ability from them, Because they're scared shitless of us and we don't even have nukes!!!

Article 2 of Annex I of the Peace Treaty called for the Sinai Peninsula to be divided into zones. Within these zones, Egypt and Israel were permitted varying degrees of military buildup:

  • Zone A: Between the Suez Canal and Line A. Egypt is permitted a mechanized infantry division with a total of 22,000 troops in Zone A.
  • Zone B: Between Line A and Line B. Egypt is permitted four border security battalions to support the civilian police in Zone B.
  • Zone C: Between Line B and the Egypt–Israel border. Only the MFO and the Egyptian civilian police are permitted within Zone C.
  • Zone D: Between the Egypt–Israel border and Line D. Israel is permitted four infantry battalions in Zone D.
Funny how you didn't even bother to pay attention to the complete details that you didn't even know the Israelis are permitted much less! You think we're fools? Think again.
btw that thing was modified in novemeber we can now put whatever we like within sinai

. . . .
lol.than plz try to install a comventional
Weapon like fighter jet squadron or air defence unit.then you will know your worth.
you probably didnt know that there are tunnels all over sinai or tunnels under the canal able to fit tank transporters with the tanks onboard did you know that?

Wtf.you can do it secretly, not openly.try to deploy conventional weapon openly, you'll get your answer.

- The only sanctions the US has ever attempted on Egypt was to freeze some small deals.. but ended up resuming them.. Egypt also owns the full maintenance system of its 220 F-16s.. and makes most of the weapons and spare parts locally..

- France can't really sanction Egypt for 24 Rafales _it has never sanctioned Egypt before_ and there is a deal signed for 30 more Rafale with an option for 50 more.... maintenance is localized and enough weapons and spare parts were bought to last for a long time..

- On top of all this.. Egypt operates 50 Mig-35, 30 SU35SE and 20 Mirage 2K..
I don't wish that Egypt is sanctioned but you would be sorely mistaken if you think Egypt is sanctions-proof.

Full maintenance of the F-16s does not means spares are not being shipped/flown in from the OEM which is in the US. There is probably some stockpiling but only so much for a fleet of 200+ F-16s. If sanctions were imposed, pretty soon EAF would have to cannibalize some of its fleet to retain air worthiness. Let's not forget about AH-64s, Abrams, C-130s and countless other American systems in use.

Egypt would be significantly hurt and it's combat capabilities severely eroded if this possibility was exercised. Cases in point are Turkey, KSA, Pakistan and Indonesia. As more Gulf/Arab countries make peace with Israel, Egypt's relevance is also declining. If in the future some Egyptian leadership tries to exercise a more independent foreign policy, the US has a lot of ways to erode Egyptian combat readiness.

Too bad you don't understand Arabic.. a new video was posted a few days ago.. in brief it was saying that Egypt does full maintenance of the F-16 as well as it's engine..and makes more than 300 spare parts for it locally..

I agree. There was partial ignorance on his part

Great post!

Many here consider Egypt a "Western puppet" and laugh about its army and economy. Egypt is one of the strongest Arab countries economically and militarily and Sissi cares for his country. If some Turk,Gulf Arab or far-away Pakistani wants to liberate Palestine, they are welcome to do it. Egypt has fought enough for the Palestinian cause.

THe fight never ended and wont end until a 2 state solution is on the ground, that will probably either israel or heavily weaken it so this will be hard

SC,

Thanks for translating as I obviously don't understand Arabic. However, consider 300 LRUs/FRUs vs. the possibility of something going wrong with the other 132,000 parts in the F-16! I think you get what I am trying to get across.

This is something that afflicts all of the Muslim world. Behind on technology and dependent on others. Turkey, Egypt and Pakistan are all in the same boat despite having pretty significant maintenance and overhaul facilities inside the country for their F-16s but the reality is that if the USG wants (they have done this to Pakistan), it can choke off supply if they do not get what they want in terms of the foreign policies of our respective countries. If our respective countries were smart, they'd be working together to get this chokehold removed instead of doubling-down on the American embrace but unfortunately our state policies are wedded to old school thinking of regional influence.

It is out of experience and not ignorance.

Once you see the American sanctions at work, then only you will realize what I am trying to communicate here. We were, and still are the most sanctioned of all MNNAs!

There is one fool from egypt on this thread that is barking alot like a rabid dog to Turkey but this pathetic clown doesn’t even dare to say Turkey.

This idiot should know that his armed forces appears good on African standards, but on real battlefield against a western adversary this army will be paralized and taken care off just as we witnessing right now in Ukraine against Russian forces.

according to this clown in his imaginary world Egypt is holding Turkey back with the so called redline of Sisi 😂😂 meanwhile his strategic partners KSA and UAE are in trouble in Yemen and they don’t even assist them out of that mess.

If papertiger Egypt was really strong they would be able to deal with the Houthis but this is not the case.

Iran and Egypt are both paper tigers one is Persian and the other is Arab papertiger.

Honestly i believe even Jordan has a stronger armed forces then Egypt.

i completely agree with you but disagree on one point. CATSAA will only strengthen the Arabs' word and will put israel on the 70s level of threatning and will push Egypt onto the eastren camp and this will prevent america from using the suez canal. The americans cant and will not sacrfice a country which will turn theyre influence in the region upside down. iam very sad there hasnt been cohersive cooperation across the islamic world since the decades where peace was a thing
