What are Egypt's manufacturing capabilities for the armed forces. It was mentioned that M1s are produced since the 80s, what about APCs, howitzers, artillery, are there local programs for those?

What has EAF done about acquiring a BVR missile capability? I think in terms of air power, this is the one thing that Egyptians sorely lack and Americans under Israeli pressure do not seem to be relenting on the supply of AIM-120 to the EAF. Does EAF have other options?

If the hardware is used effectively, this would result in a very capable deterrence against the Israelis both on the land and in air. I just hope that EAF are able to acquire a robust BVR capability for their F-16s and Mirage 2000s.

Well , It's known that USA refused to give us BVR missiles ..
220 f-16 without AIM-120 .. !! just to secure Israel .. or they think they do ! ..

Anyway .. USA .. not the only BVR provider ..
EAF has many choices from France (Mica) , Russia (R-77) , China (PL-12) , S.Africa ..... , ..

We have MBDA Mica in EAF with Mirages ..
and there are some news mensioned that Mig-29 SMT2 in Egypt since 2006 ..
also , the news about production FC-1/JF-17 related by producing PL-12 as well ..

Beside there are negotiations about Mig-29 M2 , SU-35 ..

So many options are available ..

But Egyptian army doesn't announce anything about that ! ..

Can any1 find a photo to EAF aircraft , armed ?! ..
Also you can't see a single photo to T-80 / Patriot / Tor-M / Buk-m / Fahd 6×6 / .. and many other equipments ! ..

So no one knows for sure what we have !

Yes , I'm sure Egypt (without anyone ..) can overcome Israel today ..
but its more than Egypt vs Israel ..
beacuse Israel doesn't fight alone ..
in 1973 war .. USA sent tanks n jets with crews to save them ..

USA did not send any crews. US sent military equipment to Israel only 4 days after massive air bridge from USSR to Arabs.

Russians sent SAM missiles long before that, but in 1969 Nasser asked USSR to send Russian SAM crews and pilots as well.
