Because the Iraqi DM is Sunni so he want to go to egeypt trust me I'd love to lash our DM 100 lashes for his chosen of egypt.
This has nothing to do with religion. Egypt has supported the Iraqi Army with arms, training, and advisers before (when there was a Shia head of state) and will continue to do so.
the Question why egypt or iran why not the Britain or france well why not the American since they trained our forces from the beginning.
Common language, common culture, and meets
your requirements. You are also by no means limited to training in Egypt. You are free to train wherever you like whenever you like depending on whether you reach a deal.
With all due respect to egyptians brothers but their quality of training is not worth it we have more experience than you that why our PMF train them selves using their experience against isis and they've beaten the isis every time but it's sectarianism that ruling the mind of our minister of defense.
I'm sorry you can not compare the PMF to any cohesive conventional military in the region. Plus, the gains made by the Iraqis and Kurds are down to coalition air power and foreign assistance (of which Egypt is a part). Without that assistance you would be trying to go up shit creek without a paddle.
Anyway, we're talking about the Golden Division (the spearhead of Iraqi Army opertions) here and not the PMF.
@Frogman ,i dont get it,arent you in the Saudi camp?
Egypt maintains an independent foreign policy which runs contrary to that of the KSA on several issues including Iraq and Syria.
They would have had better luck being trained by Iran. Egypt nor Jordan have a field experience in that area...
One of those nations has experience fighting IS on its borders and from within and was also a contributing partner to the international coalition against them in both Syria and Iraq. Jordan has experience.
The other is engaged in a brutal war against them in Northern Sinai and conducts military operations against them in the Western Region and Libya. Egypt has experience.
The Iranians on the other hand have only been exposed to IS through the IRGC not its conventional forces. Hezballah and Shia militias have had far more experience fighting IS than the Iranians. Even though the regime tends to actively de-conflict with IS wherever possible.
