By 2050, Egypt would be like 20th and Turkey would be 11th on GDP (PPP) list, if that.

If Turkey wants break into top 10, then it’ll have reverse its declining marriage and birth rates. Turkish productivity levels are similar to that of Russia and higher than that of Mexico, but both Russia and Mexico will continue to rank higher thank Turkey because they have larger population base and hence produce much more than Turkish national economy is able to.

Turkey urgently needs to reverse its falling fertility rates and keep working on increasing effiency—if you ever want to see Turkey ranked as 8th or 7th largest global economy. Otherwise, it’ll be a job very well done if Turkey moves to even 11th by 2050-60.
