EGYPT: NATION PRODUCES UAV IN COOPERATION WITH CHINA

Maybe Egypt should focus on aha, I don't know, make half of the people literate?
Or maybe, lowering the poverty line from 90% to 85%?
That might be more important for now ...
Then pay our debt back
Then stop taking money from the US
and so on...

Shouldn't these suggestions have been made to your long time ally Mubarak who ruled Egypt for about three decades? Isn't it Saudi muftis who claimed revolting against Mubarak's regime is against Islam?

.
Great news, I hope for more cooperation with China!
Banglar Lathial, just outta curiosity, are you a member of Muslim brotherhood? Or just a supporter of them?

.
Neither. Muslim Brotherhood has shown its limitations already, it just seems to be the choice made by Egyptians, and it appeared to be an Islamic party at first. Nowadays, I have seen all the dirty deals made by that party, so do not support their moves much.

Where did the deposed secular Tunisian dictator, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, who held back Tunisia escape to with his family?

Is it Saudi Arabia?

Saudi top cleric blasts Arab, Egypt protests-paper | News by Country | Reuters

This is a Western news report, so neither the Saudi regime nor Saudi regime lackeys can oppose their authenticity.

Saudi Arabia's top Islamic scholar condemned anti-government protests in Egypt, Tunisia and elsewhere as a plot by enemies of Islam to spread instability, Saudi newspapers said on Saturday. Hundreds of thousands of Egyptians marched peacefully in Cairo on Friday to demand an end to President Hosni Mubarak's 30-year rule, but no end to the confrontation was in sight as the unrest entered its 12th day.

Top oil exporter Saudi Arabia has said it is worried that the unrest might lead to instability in Egypt, its main Arab ally. King Abdullah called Mubarak to express his support, Saudi state media said on Jan. 29.

The protests in Egypt, Tunisia and other countries are plots by enemies of Islam to break up Arab Muslim nations, Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Al al-Sheikh, who is close to Saudi government thinking, was quoted as saying.

"This chaos comes from enemies of Islam and those who follow them," the daily Asharq al-Awsat quoted him as saying, adding that demonstrations led to bloodshed and stealing.

Both Saudi Arabia, an Islamic kingdom ruled by the Al Saud family in alliance with clerics following an austere version of Sunni Islam, and Egypt are key Arab allies of the United States. (Reporting by Ulf Laessing, editing by Tim Pearce)

Egypt is our old friend:smitten:

Indeed. My Egyptian colleague was very surprised how much I knew when I discussed Egyptian politics with him. He didn't know that news from Egypt used to be all over Chinese newspapers. I remember that I read somewher that when Sadat was assasinated, two Chinese military assistants beside him were also killed.

.
Thank god that they are PRODUCING what they need hope to see some of these nearby states learn to do so too instead of just sitting and buying toys from west

The J-20 comes later however around 2020 for export maybe 2025, but while waiting Egypt should definitely look into the J-10B, JF-17 Bk 2, SU35 you guys have many choices it's best to diversify you military equipment.

The problem during that time with Soviet and Chinese weaponry was the arabs were never really trained, I do remember china had a pretty close relationship with Nasser socialist egypt.

Exactly, I think we have a large dependency on F-16. That's not good, we should have various ones. I think Su-30 and JF-17 can be pretty great additions to our air force, especially the SU-30. Dassault Rafale as well possibly?
I also think we might have a need to have some military equipment other than American in tanks, maybe we should look at Leopard tanks, possibly al khalid as well.

I wouldn't trust using western technology if you guys fight any other wars with israel or anyone else the fact is the USA or EU will simply cut the supply's for it, SU-35's Mig-35's J-10B should be the choices, I also believe instead of buying a tank you guys should build your own like israel did with their merkava tank Turkey or russia can aid.

You're correct, I would never trust the west on such matters. Simply because they'll cut off all needed equipment and spare parts once there's a war.
I don't think the country is in a shape to start a project to build tanks currently, but if our economy heals, I think it'll be something very good, especially if we can make it a jointly developed tank with a country that has experience, say Turkey, China, Pakistan or Russia.
