What's new

Egypt moves to ban alcohol, belly dancing

Actually, the Casino was doing great until Mosa decided to hire pregnant dancers without tops for $3 amonth, however, the casino was closed at the request of UN in the pretext of violating human rights. Anyway, this is not the point.:coffee:

:what:

Ok, dude on a serious note - You're right next door to Egypt & I'm sure that, by virtue of the lot of you speaking the same language, Arabs don't really have that much of an outsider's perspective of what is happening in each other's countries - So do you think this hissy fit of rising Political Islam in Egypt is genuinely backed by the Egyptian People or is it just a Counter-Revolution after the Revolution seeing that we've seen numerous instances in the past when different lobbies & pressure groups have used their resources & influence to bring about artificially created counter-revolutions to mold the end result in a manner they see fit ?

I don't really care for the numbers of likes i get, do you ?!! Why did i even talk about Islam ? I could, but i didn't. You just said that Islamists don't represent Islam, but you are accusing me of being Anti-Islam, when i made fun of Islamists. I don't get you

Belly dancing is art! Really? Even Japanese and eastern cultures in general detest it, and regard it as shameful.

One of my previous posts:

The fact I hate to reveal as well as Egyptians here is that the majority of Egyptians are either illiterate or poorly educated, so they get weakened when someone puts himself as the representative of Islam as if the other candidates are Kaffirs. MB are detested for educated people because they know that they are hypocrite, ungrateful and backstabbers.

Why is @Mosamania brought into this ? Also, art is not a bad thing.

You didn't have to quote him BTW. My god, he is coming:cry:

I like it man, what does it bother you so much ?!! I fine belly dancing to be a fine art. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Don't prevent me from watching it, and enjoying it, that is all i want.

yeah art is not a bad thing but everything exsists in this world suits in limit and i think belly dance is a shameful act by women they are not performing art infront of man actually they are insulting themselves.

I could watch it, but I won't defend it or call for it.

Very bad decision by Egypt.
In Pakistan we are asking government to lift the ban on alcohol, and you are banning it.
No sweet life without alcohol and vodca.
Egypt is going towards narrow minded country and in the hands of some Islamic dictators.

as OUr beloved prophet says " jab tum haya na kro tou jo chaye kro"

this hadith is according to the situation

Egyptians logic, how to advance and become a great successful country? the best way is to look up to Westerns and open Casinos, allow alchol, gayness...etc, in short "have fun" and they ignore research , education...etc...
Freedom and Liberty are essence of development. If you don't get it, then you need to go back to school. People should be free, period. As long as your freedom doesn't affect others freedom. Example, people could get drunk, but they shouldn't drive when they are drunk because it affects others in a not very positive way.

yeah art is not a bad thing but everything exsists in this world suits in limit and i think belly dance is a shameful act by women they are not performing art infront of man actually they are insulting themselves.
I disagree. I will keep watching it, and you don't. Everybody will be happy, and we can focus on real issue. This is the recipe for a a healthy society.

And you seriously think he can answer that?
Ask an egyptian.

I agree. Connecting everything to sexuality only demonstrates the deep-rooted psychological illness of the Islamists. Like the sheikh who recently called for babies to wear the burka.

Generalizing, again, those people are not the representatives of god and people, do not throw what every bearded lunatic says on Islam.

And you seriously think he can answer that?

And why I can't?
