Egypt, Greece, Cyprus pledge to boost energy cooperation

I would wish that Erdogan talks a little bit less but he still didnt take a hostile action against Egypt while they are cooperating with Greece and Cyprus about disputed ressources, this will change many things from now on, it wasnt wise from Egypt to meddle in Cyprus conflict.

I haven't read much about disputed resources, but Egypt is in dire need of energy now, so going to Greece and Cyprus, 2 of closest countries is not necassarily a hostile action.

Btw, whose resources are they going to import? and if it belongs to Cyprus, in which parts they are located, Turkish or Greek part?

Egypt is just reciprocating the favor, after Erdogan blatantly meddled in Egypts internal affairs and was trying to prop up the Muslim Brotherhood.

Cyprus sees itself still as united and doesnt recognize north which is sanctioned (international business is forbidden) while at the same time the money from gas exploitation will go to south, this means Cyprus wants to keep the status quo or deepen the partition even further. If Cyprus says Gas is in southern shore so we will keep drilling then they have to recognize north and lift the sanctions so everybody can do his own business, but if they say no we see Cyprus still united then they have to wait till the negotiations come to an end.

What Cyprus should do in my eyes is stop drilling till the negotiations about the unification comes to a result, but the talks will fail under these circumstances.
And now Egypt coming up as a customer for Cypriot gas is openly hostile.

Both Erdogan and Sisi hate each other...This Egyptian move was not a surprise, it was expected...Erdogan`s speeches against Sisi Government have gone too far..He could criticize, that would be fine and all but in every opportunity he got, he bashed Sisi and his government...Right now, we have better relations with Greece than we have with Egypt which has opened its harbours to Turkish warships during Operation Attila, irony..

You may want energy..but you can't supply it from Cyprus. It's absurd to think that Turkey will let Greek Cyprus to claim all of the gas around the Island..
