The acquisition of the Rafale by Egypt proves to be an impressive force multiplier for its air force, which has benefited from unprecedented capabilities of shooting cruise missiles by buying fifty SCALP EG / Storm Shadow in its Black Shaheen version which Have a range of more than 250 Km. More precise also with the adoption of the laser guided laser AASM and pod Talios. The Egyptian Air Force will also use the Rafale for reconnaissance missions with the purchase of the Thales Reco NG nacelle.

. . .
From who Egypt feel threatened .. I mean who's the real threat to Egypt..?

.

BVRASMs. Long range air to surface cruise missile. They've also ordered the MBDA Apache which is a specific anti-runway air to surface cruise missile. They will also be acquiring the Meteor BVRAAM.

Apache. Looks almost like a fuel tank.

You hear this question a lot, and it's not because of a threat that any country tries to arm itself. It's because of the volatile region that is the threat where war can break out at any moment. So why wait until that happens and be short-handed? You have to be as prepared as possible which was our biggest mistake in 1967. Then when we wanted to go to war in 1973 to get our stolen land back, we had to beg Russia for weapons and they would only sell us certain defensive ones. They wouldn't give us any long range bombers or better offensive weapons. So we had to fight an offensive war with defensive equipment such as most fighters which were MiG-21 and Su-7 and MiG-19, all interceptors. They gave us plenty of SA-2 (defensive) and SAGGERS anti-tank guided missiles etc.

Now with the entire region in a hot be of terror and political gripe, and we're surrounded by the threat of the wild wild west in Libya, the tensions with Sudan over the Ethiopian dam and we have a very economically important and strategic canal we need to protect. So we're not going to wait until something could possible or maybe or maybe not happen.

There's other strong political reasons that I won't get into but that's the gist of it.

Against Israel? Thanks for the laugh. If you think Western equipment and munitions will be usable against the Israelis, think again. They have all learnt their lessons from the Falklands.

What I asked is whether Egypt received BVRAAMS for Rafale

How many?

How many Meteors or MICAs? Meteor's I don't think they've announced the quantity yet since Egypt is among the list of 8 other future operators. But if I was to guess, probably around 150. They are $2 million a piece so I don't think they ordered too many of them.

The 46-50 MiG-29M/M2/35 will also be equipped with the R-73 & R-77 and KH-38 that we know of so far.

Your F-16s are such a waste though. They are essentially toothless.

Have you ever had a wet dream.
All Arabs only use force against their own civilians and bow to the jews and Christians. Morsi was elected how did you use force on civilians. Syria how did it use force on civilians. Libya Tunisia. So shut up and don't address me again with your wet dreams
That was called the Arab spring.. stirred by outside forces..You are talking like there is nothing going on in Pakistan or other parts of the world.. do you remember Tianaman Square for instance or the war on terrorism going on in Pakistan for a while now and hopefully at its end.. So you must have been bowing to Jews and Christian in your own mind, to mention it at all.. The world's countries are dealing with each other regardless of their religions..Usrael is an exception in the main Arab and Muslim world because it is an apartheid entity.. So next time think with a clear mind instead of trying to pollute a thread with you personal bias against the Arabs..

I use the term "neutered." Without the venerable AIM-120C or even the AIM-9X, and only the AIM-9M & L and the AIM-7 sparrow, they are handicapped. But they play the ground attack role very well. They've been crunching vermnical, cretenical cockroaches of every subspecies in the most prejudice way.

Who knows, maybe now that the US sees France and Russian making money off of BVR missiles, maybe they'll want to to skip Israel's peeing its pants about us having the AIM-120 and not block it every time it goes to Congress for approval. Stranger things have happened.

If I was in charge of the EAF, I'd grab the US by the sacks now and tell them to get with the program. Enough is enough and it's been too long. Even if just the Block 52s get them, that would be fine. All 232 F-16 don't need to have them.

Better yet go for platforms in the future from countries that can ensure and promise weapon delivery witnout strings attached, yet here u go ahead for a westeen platform again. Why dont u people learn the fact that a fancy craft is useless without spare and weapon support, if these rafales and f 16s are uselss to you in a war when the west blockades u again wouldnt u have needlessly wasted billions in aquring these crafts, why cant u learn to stick with china and russia, they dont attach strings.

The only ones attaching strings are the Americans. The French and Russians aren't holding anything back, and the F-16s were part of the peace vector aid package. The Rafale and MiG-35s don't fall in the restricted bracket you mentioned, and what you suggested is exactly what we did.
