The Wall Street Journal reported last month that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump was seeking to assemble an Arab force to replace the U.S. military contingent in Syria.

But Mattis contradicted that by saying the US won't leave Syria before a political solution is found.. So if the Arabs send troops they will merge with the US and French ones already there..

Never happened.
