Education: PTI’s plan exposed

Thanks brother for sharing.

I suggest everyone please read the revised syllabus before commenting further. Many positive changes have been made which we have asked for years.

For example, English is now taught as a language rather than a subject, and basic study of all major languages of Pakistan have been added.

At a time the world is moving towards STEM from early age, Pakistan is moving towards religious text memorizations. And then people wonder Pakistan is in such a poor state when it comes to education and development. That some people for political reasons cheer for such travesty is the real shame.

when Pakistan is moving towards religious text memorizations the world moving towards degeneracy like pedophilia, homosexuality and bestiality. That some people for political reasons cheer for such travesty is the real shame.

Pakistan is doing both fyi. many programs have been launched for free to teach practical skills to Pakistanis in the field of AI, IOT, Robotics etc. one shouldnt open their mouth(in this case their keyboard) when one doesnt know sh*t.

https://www.piaic.org/

another is by navttc, supported by giz, to impart technical vocational skills, industry experts and professors from leading universities are involved in formulating the syllabi for different fields.

Have you seen the growing cases of child molestation and sexual violence in Pakistan? Do you even read the news?

Other than the typical PTI sensationalism, nothing seems to be moving forward when it comes to AI, IoT in Pakistan. There’s no reason why the state should mandate religious memorizations in schools. Your illogical and loopsided argument is a proof that good education and critical reasoning is important for the development of children.

how is that related to what you said? the most recent case was by secular teacher in a secular establishment engaging in sodomy in sindh, another was a scandal in a similar secular institute (LGS), and another was about cases of harassment in LUMS (the center of worship of liberal populace). otoh if Islamic practices are implemented then whoever commits these acts will receive a really harsh punishment, regardless of the fact that whether they belong to a madarsa or a university.

Your illogical and lopsided argument is a proof that good education and critical reasoning is important for the development of children.
on the contrary you are the one who has failed to provide any sane argument. your illogical and honestly, BS argument is proof secularism and liberalism makes a person unable to have a coherent conversation.

yeah, lol, just shows you know nothing and are talking out of your behind. i have already posted the link, hundreds of students have been enrolled in each of these disciplines and are being taught absolutely free of cost, by the very people who are actually involved with the industry in these fields.

And you are conveniently going to ignore child molestations committed by religious figures in Pakistan? Child molestation is a problem in Pakistan regardless of the ideological spectrum. Assumptions that religious people aren’t capable of committing such heinous crimes is laughable at best.

Regarding reason, please list some of the significant discoveries or patents held by Pakistan’s madarassah class. I am waiting.

Finally, the AI initiative is laudable, but how many students have graduated so far? How many have gained employment as a result of this initiative? These are important benchmarks to gauge the efficacy of such initiatives but there’s nothing of the sort available even from the official link you have shared.

Pakistan should focus on STEM and human development and stay clear from these ideological battle lines. So much of Pakistan’s potential has been wasted in furthering these useless endeavors that the country today lacks Bangladesh and the rest of the neighborhood with exception of Afghanistan in almost every important development indicator.

This is not good enough for those who are mental slaves. They suffer from the white saviour complex. These are the sorts of people who will shoo away beggar children at home and then adopt a Giraffe because a TV advert voiced by a white man told them too.

The only development that ever occured in Pakistan was the railways the British built to transport their troops quickly from A to B to help kill and enslave our forefathers. Other than that we all lived like cats and dogs in the streets.

This was the halat of Muslims at partition. Barely any meat left on their bones.

British used their control of food and necessities as a weapon to punish populations.

Syllabus provides for both.

Pakistan must own the narrative on religion, or else our enemies will.

We are moving in a positive direction because now we are fighting the menace of these gangs which prey on Pakistani vulnerable populations.

During N and PPP, it was completely ignored.

Abuse is not only from religious scholars, you are painting a picture which is not representative of most Islamic teachers and scholars. These are isolated cases.

What excuse do renowned universities like LUMS have for having professors abuse children, take pictures of them, and orgies. What kind of Pakistan are secular atheist gang pushing for?

Memorization of Quran and Ahadith is part of our Islamic faith, we cannot get rid of it. In the future, you will see further Islamization. PTI is an Islamic nationalist party, Imran Khan is a very religious person.

As for STEM, it is in the new syllabus, please have a look.

STEM does not cater for the human requirements for governance, morality, ethics and law. That is an entirely different field which is equally important.

You can produce all the scientists and technicians you want only to watch them flee to the West and not remain in your country and contribute towards its development because they won't have any moral, religious or ideological obligation towards the nation.

Wikipedia is your friend.
I read wikipedia ..dont see anything surprising apart from UNESCO award for his PTV program about science to children ..(explaining science to layman award)
Thats the reason i am asking what SCIENTIFIC CONTRIBUTION.????
Noone seems to know?

I disagree

Pakistan has suffered enough with this highly toxic politicized environment. Pakistanis are more interested in intricate details of domestic politics rather than discuss education, technology and other meaningful topics. Instead, threads on Nawaz Sharif outings in London yield 20+ pages of discussion while discussions on Pakistanis who are making real difference in terms of creating startups and other technology initiatives are lucky to get 2-5 responses. Unless, Pakistanis move away from toxic politics and this vile culture of seeing others with different views as enemies that must be destroyed, Pakistan will continue to remain in this sad state of affairs.

Finally, I repeat: government has no business mandating religious indoctrination. Even Jinnah who created your country was clear on this when he said the state had no business telling people how to worship.

read my post again, this time with open eyes.

please list some of the significant discoveries by lgs people. or by hoodbhoy for that matter in recent history. the madarsah class are successfully doing what they set out to do, students from abroad come and study at top madarsahs, i have yet to see foreign students at nust and lums (apart from exchange program ones)

Finally, I repeat: government has no business mandating religious indoctrination. Even Jinnah who created your country was clear on this when he said the state had no business telling people how to worship
and he was wrong. he was a human being not god, Allah and His religion takes precedence over what jinnah did or didnt think or do.

Reading a dawn article about Jinnah does not mean that you know the man. Sorry for being blunt.

Is Islamic studies responsible for that? What's your point?

Or are you of the opinion that non-STEM subjects like gayrights, sex education and feminism should be taught instead of Islamiat like they are taught in the West?

Why so much stomach ache if someone teaches a story from the Prophet's life instead of Ba Ba Black Sheep?

.
Why does Mr Hoodbhoy keep writing anti-Pak article always. Never do I read anything in praise of what is going on in Pakistan.

Regards

That's because in his eyes, Pakistan has no good, and Pakistanis have no redeeming qualities. He is surrounded by ignorant, backward, bigoted, uneducated, uncultured, uncivilized, confused, hypocrites. He must live a pretty miserable, frustrated existence. It's quite sad really.

That statement by Jinnah has been always misrepresented by liberal freaks, there are tons of other statements by Jinnah where he has said that Quran will the the guiding principle in running the state, Jinnah was talking about minority rights when he made that statement, he meant that the state will not force Islam on the minorities. In regards to state and religion, he was always clear that he wanted an islamic state.
