This is not good enough for those who are mental slaves. They suffer from the white saviour complex. These are the sorts of people who will shoo away beggar children at home and then adopt a Giraffe because a TV advert voiced by a white man told them too.
The only development that ever occured in Pakistan was the railways the British built to transport their troops quickly from A to B to help kill and enslave our forefathers. Other than that we all lived like cats and dogs in the streets.
This was the halat of Muslims at partition. Barely any meat left on their bones.
British used their control of food and necessities as a weapon to punish populations.
At a time the world is moving towards STEM from early age, Pakistan is moving towards religious text memorizations. And then people wonder Pakistan is in such a poor state when it comes to education and development. That some people for political reasons cheer for such travesty is the real shame.
Syllabus provides for both.
Pakistan must own the narrative on religion, or else our enemies will.
Have you seen the growing cases of child molestation and sexual violence in Pakistan? Do you even read the news?
Other than the typical PTI sensationalism, nothing seems to be moving forward when it comes to AI, IoT in Pakistan. There’s no reason why the state should mandate religious memorizations in schools. Your illogical and loopsided argument is a proof that good education and critical reasoning is important for the development of children.
We are moving in a positive direction because now we are fighting the menace of these gangs which prey on Pakistani vulnerable populations.
During N and PPP, it was completely ignored.
And you are conveniently going to ignore child molestations committed by religious figures in Pakistan? Child molestation is a problem in Pakistan regardless of the ideological spectrum. Assumptions that religious people aren’t capable of committing such heinous crimes is laughable at best.
Regarding reason, please list some of the significant discoveries or patents held by Pakistan’s madarassah class. I am waiting.
Finally, the AI initiative is laudable, but how many students have graduated so far? How many have gained employment as a result of this initiative? These are important benchmarks to gauge the efficacy of such initiatives but there’s nothing of the sort available even from the official link you have shared.
Pakistan should focus on STEM and human development and stay clear from these ideological battle lines. So much of Pakistan’s potential has been wasted in furthering these useless endeavors that the country today lacks Bangladesh and the rest of the neighborhood with exception of Afghanistan in almost every important development indicator.
Abuse is not only from religious scholars, you are painting a picture which is not representative of most Islamic teachers and scholars. These are isolated cases.
What excuse do renowned universities like LUMS have for having professors abuse children, take pictures of them, and orgies. What kind of Pakistan are secular atheist gang pushing for?
Memorization of Quran and Ahadith is part of our Islamic faith, we cannot get rid of it. In the future, you will see further Islamization. PTI is an Islamic nationalist party, Imran Khan is a very religious person.
As for STEM, it is in the new syllabus, please have a look.
