Well the article is accurate in a sense that army now controls the political destiny

In other ways it has zero control ..

Such as the recent church attacks in Pakistan 100% sure they will not have the balls to arrest any one or conduct a successful prosecution

Question is who is Pakistan army?
It's not one person
It's more like a political party which has an ambitious and code
Asim munir at best will be here for another 6 years but will leave there after. Once he leaves he will still be retired godfather just like musharraf

This code was built over decades by general gracy and general ayub and practiced by all corps commander and their underlyings..even though overall there may be some semblance of merit if anyone doesn't follow the code they don't reach the top.

So asim munir was selected on merit when he was 2 days from his retirement. Bajwa manipulated the system to carry on with the code.
