Economic crisis in India 2013 | ALL Updates & News

GO GO GO! GO India GO. Go down hill

A cliff is more appropriate. The tragedy is that India willingly stepped off the cliff. This is national suicide.

The current government should resign and call for early elections. India cannot afford to wait through six months of policy paralysis before the next elections.

why people are crying.............it is consolidation phase ...........natural behavior of world business ...........kya hua system colaps ho gya kya ?......lol......Indonesian Rs IDR reach to 11000 level last year it was at 9200 level..........around 700000 project is pending for approval in central ministry .........government is not taking decision .....election is coming near.......

Problem is the way the world works by tying it all in dollars.

In dollar terms if INR was 40 (2009 figures) that makes India's GDP well over USD 2 Trillion

According to current 65 levels it makes the value down to USD 1.68 Trillion

India now has less dollars.

When people have less, they start spending less. When governments stop spending less, liquidity decreases, banks stop giving loans (or make the terms harder/safer), risk appetite decreases.

The way India's economy is structured, it can only be saved by making Indians go out and buy new things and give their money to the corporation (which brought India to this point in the first place)

Thats a bad attitude...

Indian economy is doing worst, but your comments show that you are happy watching it plung down..

Serve you Indian troll right!

Again, nothing from your post contributes in a positive manner.. There would be members on each side of the border who claim their nation 'best' in the world.

The cheerleading would be appreciated if done in a positive way.. Neither of your comments are with some knowledge or possible plan of action. See the posts of Chinese-Dragon, who has given the reasons and possible measures to counter the crises unlike you who has a cold heart and takes pleasure in watching other get damged...

It just show that Indian MPs has no responsibility to the people. In western parliamentary democracy. such a crisis would cause a no confidence vote. The rule coalition would collapse. And the ruling party bosses would resign. You don't see such responsibility from the Indian political bosses. Especially the Italian waitress.

Many of the Indian members don't even want to acknowledge the problem. Instead they cook up false news with false link to try to divert the real attention into a smearing campaign of other country who is doing very well.

Warning has already long been given but Indian has too much pride and try to act smart like going for a service based economy for a developing country instead of following China model manufacturing based economy.
Please thank your PM Singh.

What is wrong with you?

Has India reformed her land acquisition regulations so that manufacturers can easily obtain land on which to build factories?
Has India reformed her education system to produce qualified workers to man factories?
Has India address her electricity shortage to provide continuous supply to factories?

Things don't fall into your lap by magic or wishful thinking.

Manufacturing FDI has to be earned through building good infrastructure, setting up business friendly regulations and favorable taxation regimes, providing readily available land, making available an efficient transport network, and providing literate and trained workers to man the factories.

India has done none of the above.

India cannot afford any of the above.

India has again missed an important boat.

India is f.u.c.k.e.d by her incompetent government.

Until all of the above change, India remains f.u.c.k.e.d.-up-beyond-all-repair (FUBAR).

END OF.

So what's your problem with it?

Oh I do admit that I feel a slight bit of malicious satisfaction at the news, because this past week Indians have been posting constant anti-China threads and Chinese economy bashing threads.

So I'm not more noble than Beast on this matter.

Why you can't bring duty-free TVs from abroad anymore

India will ban the duty-free import of flat-screen televisions from August 26, the government said in a statement on Monday, adding to a package of measures designed to prop up the rupee by stemming the flow of foreign currency out of the country.

The rupee on Monday fell to an all-time low of 63.30.

Government officials estimated that more than 1 million television sets were brought into the country last year -- many from Dubai, Thailand and Singapore -- under a scheme that allowed airline passengers to bring in screens worth up to Rs. 35,000 as part of their baggage allowance.

Under the new rules, passengers will have to pay a 35 per cent duty and other charges, the officials said.

While I agree with you in much of the content of this post.. China model of manufacturing is a great achievement for sure thoughout history of east Asia... About our PM, he is as incompetant as a illiterate, trying to figure it out, how to operate computer.. China model may not be completely successful in India, but it would be far better than what currently been happening in India...
