bhutto was great leader in a sense that nuclear program and steel mills were established under his govt but now it seems that this govt will destroy all national assets due to poor economic policy and bad management following the path of previous corrupt govts

I won't call it a national asset but a burden. PPP was the one who destroyed steel mill by political appointments. It was used as a tool to reward political workers along with pia.

The Steel Mills hasn't been functioning since 2015 yet employees are still getting salaries for last 5 years. A small part of the land of the SM was sold to a private investor who set up a small steel mill and it is amazingly profitable. Heck the dozens or other steel mills in country are mostly profitable.. only difference is that those are privately owned and business model is to make money, meanwhile the PSM is just an employment agencies for PPP/PML-N loyalists.

so far this govt has failed to fix any institution other than steel mills,conditions of railway,pia etc is worst so how can we trust them that they are capable of fixing steel mills,ppp after bhutto is mostly involved in corruption but bhutto had done some major beneficial things for Pakistan which if continued after his removal might have brought very good results for us

Cry me a river but whoever they sell it to should also take on the 550billion deficit which keeps on getting bigger and bigger with interest. I am fine with it. This is a breeding ground of plmn and PPP political vultures masquerading as helpless employees.

Listening to some people here it might seem that all DISCOs, PSM, PIA, PR were profitable for last 70+ years right up to August 2018 when PTI took over and in 2 years PTI eff'ed them so badly that collectively they are amassing trillions yes trillions of ruppees in debt every year.

its not running and cant be run. the machinery is obsolete and isnt operational, will be sold only as scrap. the employees are political appointees mostly and part of the problem. restarting it would mean investment of billions to purchase new machinery, which the old employees are too unskilled to operate. anyone who buys it will be buying the land only. and may have to service the Everest of debt that it has accrued. things are far worse than they look.
