Who says ballot boxes are untouchable? I say that one must not declare that EVMs are fool-proof.

If people are raising objection, then it must be scrutinized to check the veracity of claim rather than sweeping it under the carpet.

No ballot paper voting is impregnable. Heck anyone in the world and even small town and village folks and even tribal can hack the most secure ballot box.
