*Eat like a healthy Muslim.
Our cuisine is pretty unhealthy to be honest. Use of ghee and white meat runs rampant in Pakistan. Minimal use of vegetables and lentils (unless due to financial restraint). Rice used as main staple diet (that too bathed in oil). You could walk on the streets and never guess this is the third world with everyone having pot bellies and whatnot.
1. I agree that our diet is bit unhealthy and gets even unhealthier due to a lot of grease especially in central and souther Pak. There should be more diversity in out diet.
2. Rice is not the staple diet of Pak, wheat is.
Pakistan(200+ million people) produces 27 million tonnes of wheat and consumes 26 MT.
Pakistan produces 7 MT of rice and consumes 3 MT and exports the rest.
Bangladesh(160+ million people) produces 35 MT of rice, consumes all of it, and at times even imports half a million ton. Rice is their staple diet. They consume much lesser wheat.
3. Fish are considered white meat. Chicken are considered dark and white both sometimes. Our fish consumption is the lowest is the world at only 2 KG per person per year.
While our poultry consumption is much better but should improve more. If I remember correctly, we are at no. 16th place in poultry consumption in the world.
Incase of beef and mutton and milk consumption, we fare much better and are usually in top 5 or top 10.
4. Use of vegetable and fruits should increase many folds especially salads.
We already consume lentils regularly but how much that I don't know.
