What's new

Earth is one of the Universe's first habitable planets, and most are yet to be born

.
Okay, this is very interesting news and if it is accurate, then we may be the ones with the solemn task of actually seeding the universe with life and civilization.

All the more reason to go into space exploration as soon as possible.

.
so that means, no aliens..a set back vedic mythology.

Its says " one of the " and not " Only "

Seeding the universe with life seems like such a far fetched idea for humans right now. The shear magnitude of universe and the petty things that have become the priority of mankind, makes this idea look almost impossible.

:lol::lol::lol::enjoy:

BANG ON !!!!

.
oh cool, we can be the aliens doing all the cow probing to all the future intelligent life on other worlds lol.

.
So.......8% of roughly 1 billion or so rocky planets in our galaxy is 80 million planets that are already evolved and present in the "goldilocks" zone. That's just in our galaxy.

Somehow i doubt that even with this discovery we are the only ones.

The Nearest star is FOUR Light years away

Assuming that the nearest star has a planet which
can support life ; how much time it would take for humans to reach there
IF Light takes Four years

Agree , But why go that Far .
Pluto has amazed Scientists . Mars can be brought back to life in near future and what not .
Worm holes to black holes .
There is lot to discover .
Already theories about Parallel Universe are floating in the main stream Science .

In our solar system only Earth can support life

Mars can at the BEST have micro organisms

Pluto does nt even get light

There the temperature is 400 DEGREES BELOW Zero ( Minus 400 Degrees )

Then after Pluto there is a VAST interstellar space
consisting of rocks and gas till the Next star which is Four Light years away

Finding alien life is Not that easy

And there are more than 10^11 galaxies in the observable universe

Don't be fixated on the "only" part. The size of the universe is beyond colossal even by colossal standards.

Fun Fact : There are more stars in the universe than there are soil particles on Earth.

Yup . But Last time I checked , Scientists are talking about anomalies on Pluto . Like Blue sky , Water ice and some kind of internal energy source .
