Duterte: Catholic Church ‘full of shit’
January 24, 2017

MANILA — The Catholic Church is “full of shit,” according to President Duterte who ramped up his attacks against priests and bishops in the Philippines, on Tuesday, by accusing them of corruption, womanizing and other excesses.

In a speech peppered with profanities in reference to the church leaders, Mr. Duterte encouraged his audience composed of families of slain Special Action Forces to read the book “Altar of Secrets” by the late journalist Aries Rufo to know the sins of the church officials.

“I challenge you now. I challenge the Catholic Church. You are full of shit. You all smell bad, corruption and all,” Mr. Duterte said on Tuesday.

He dared the Catholic Church officials in the country to resign and said he would do the same if they would bite.

The President went off on the Catholic Church leaders after he defended his war against illegal drugs during a speech in Malacañang Tuesday.

Church officials have been vocal in condemning the extrajudicial killings that had attended the administration’s crackdown on the narcotics trade.

According to Mr. Duterte, he and the Catholic church officials have the same sin— that of womanizing. He noted that one bishop— Bishop Teodoro Bacani— had two wives like him.

But unlike the church leaders, he is not corrupt, he said.

He chided them for asking for a Pajero during the time of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

“Shouldn’t you be ashamed of yourselves? That’s so expensive and so many people have nothing to eat,” he said.

The bishops knew they were not supposed to receive anything from the government, and yet they asked for the high-end vehicle, he said.

“Putangina, tumanggap ang mga ulol (Son of a bitch, the jerks accepted it),” he said.

“It was pure graft and corruption,” he added.

He said he had been aware of the atrocities of the church leaders even when he was a young boy, and railed against priests who have failed to give service to the poor.

He said he might just write his own book against the church officials, titled “Hypocrisy.”

Church officials call politicians corrupt, and yet, he asked, “how about you?”

Most politicians have been afraid of offending the Catholic church officials, but not him, Mr. Duterte said.

Despite the church officials “politicking” and warning people against him, he still won, he noted.

Well it's about time a politician from our country said the truth about the Catholic church and its leaders, even better that it's the president.

Criticism of the clergy and ruling elite is embedded in western society. Glad that Phillipines too is questioning the clergies extravagant ways. Priests are supposed to lead a life that is humble. instead they make commercial empires for themselves. The problem Pakistan has with rabid mullahs some countries have with priests and pastors.

Try meth before criticizing war on drugs, Duterte tells priests the day Pope blesses Philippines (2017-01-19)

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has taunted the country’s bishops and priests to drop their “hypocrisy” and try drugs themselves to fully grasp the seriousness of the problem.

The Catholic Church got the emphatic message on Wednesday, the same day the Philippines was blessed by Pope Francis. In a speech marking the 20th anniversary of the Premiere Medical Center in Cabanatuan City, Duterte slammed the Church for its opposition to his hardline war on drugs, AFP reported.

‘Molested when we confessed’: Duterte fires up at Catholic priests over pedophilia, corruption (2017-01-20)

Unshaken by a blessing from Pope Francis, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has hit back at priests and bishops critical of his war on drugs, accusing clergymen of homosexuality, child molesting, hypocrisy and corruption. “You asked for it,” he said.
“You expose me, fine. I expose you. Why? When you commit mistakes it's OK, but when we do, no? Bullshit. That’s stupid,” the president said during a speech to newly-promoted police officers at Malacañan on Thursday.

Duterte, who revealed in 2015 that he was molested by a priest when he was young in an act of “sexual awakening,” but did not file a complaint for fear of “what would happen,” said Catholic priests had their skeletons in the closet.

“You asked for it. If you want a showdown, then let's have a showdown. You mend your ways. If you cannot even give justice to the small boys that you have molested in the past, you do not have that moral ascendancy to lecture [me] on what to do. Sanctity of life? You're enjoying your worth,” he said, as quoted by The Philippine Star.

“When we were young, I talked to cabinet members. When we were making confessions to you, we were being molested,” he added.

As if this wasn’t enough, Duterte mentioning alleged homosexual acts taking place inside seminaries.

“What will you do with the homosexuality in your seminaries? What have you done to the children there?... Mga le**e kayo [You fools],” he said.

During his speech to police officers, Duterte also lambasted the failure of the Church to truthfully explain how donations in the country – in which about 80 percent of the population are Catholic – had been used.

“What did the church do? The Catholic Church earns millions every week all throughout the Philippines. There are many churches. Where is the money of the people?” the president wondered.

“We explain how we use our funds to the people. You? Priests and bishops, you wear fancy clothes, you have vehicles. Do you have a house, even with just five rooms, for rehab? What did your church do?

“You count money instead of going around the neighborhoods, explaining to the people why they should not be in that industry because they will die. Now you want the killings to end? All you have to do is to preach because most of the people here are Catholics,” he continued.

Duterte to Catholic church: You're full of shit ((2017-01-24)

'Pareho pala baho natin,' says President Duterte about Catholic Church bishops whom he accuses of sexual escapades and corruption

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine President launched his latest tirade against religious leaders on Tuesday, January 24, as he met with family members of the Special Action Force (SAF) troopers who perished during the Mamasapano massacre.

President Rodrigo Duterte again lambasted Catholic church leaders for preaching against extrajudicial killings when many of them are guilty of other sins.

"I challenge you now, I challenge the Catholic church, you are full of shit at mabaho rin kayong lahat (and you all stink too), corruption and all," he said in a speech.

"Sabihin ko sa mga bishops, mga conference, pareho pala baho natin, babae, ganoon. Puro kayo corruption," said an enraged Duterte. (I'll tell bishops, their conferences, we have the same stink, women. You are full of corruption.)

TALKING ABOUT DRUGS

RETIRED CIA AGENT: “WE RUN THE AFGHAN OPIUM TRADE”

John F. Abbotsford, a 38-year old Afghan war veteran, that has also served his country as a CIA analyst, has recently been convicted of possession of child pornography, accusations he claims “have been made up” by the US government to stop the publication of his upcoming book, the CIA in Afghanistan: 30 years of drug smuggling.

During the court session, the retired CIA operative, John F. Abbotsford, a 38-year old Afghan war veteran, refused to answer all questions concerning the child pornography possession charges and kept talking about alleged CIA drug smuggling related events in Afghanistan.

“I’m ashamed to say that I have participated in these drug smuggling operations on many occasions. For a long time, I tried to convince myself that we were doing it for the right cause, but this burden is destroying me inside and I just can’t stand it anymore” he admitted before the court audience.

“The CIA has been dealing drugs since its creation. They’ve been smuggling drugs everywhere in the world for the past 60 years, in Taiwan in 1949 to support General Chiang Kai-shek against the Chinese commies, in Vietnam, in Nicaragua, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg” he launched out during the court trial. “We helped the Mujahideen develop poppy cultivation to fight the Soviets, but we took back matters in our own hands in 2001 when we invaded Afghanistan under Bush” he pleaded.

Author’s Note

In 2014 the Afghan opium cultivation has once again hit a record high, according to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s 2014 Afghan Opium Survey.

In the course of the last four years, there has been a surge in Afghan opium production. The Vienna based UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) reveals that poppy cultivation in 2012 extended over an area of more than 154,000 hectares, an increase of 18% over 2011. A UNODC spokesperson confirmed in 2013 that opium production is heading towards record levels.

War is good for business. The Afghan opium economy feeds into a lucrative trade in narcotics and money laundering.

Let Duterte and Trump evaluate each other. it must be funny.

Mr. Duterte's words are applicable to all organized, politicized/monetized religions.

Let's not single any of them out.

What Duterte is going up against is big, well-entrenched, and dangerous. Wish him the best of success.
