Drones are easy target, even country like pakistan can shoot it down (The PAF has categorically told that It can bring down US drones in seconds if Govt gives the permission.). Israel Air force is far more capable (More than 300 4th and 4++ gen planes).

Its not at all difficult to bring down drones.

Pakistan shot down the israeli-made Searcher-II which the indians infiltrated into Pakistani airspace @ Kasur not far from border

in a similar fashion actually; we also deployed F-16s and a sidewinder was used to take out the aerial target

as for Pakistan being "secret ally" of israel; i dont know where you came up with that conclusion. Contact between both countries is negligible at best, though I (personally) dont see them as a threat or an enemy of our State. During anti-soviet jihad days it is said that we looked the other way while Mossad affiliates helped with efforts to arm fighters against soviets (in Peshawar); ISI as a 'courtesy' tipped off Mossad about impending attacks on Jewish targets in india (2 or 3 years back i believe). It was tracked by radar through all over the way. Thats why Israel knew its Hezbollah drone immediately (despite it entered from Gaza). It was not shot down before because of the danger to the ground.


No its not most advanced missile. Its Python 4, with regular IR seeker. So it has problem to lock on toy plane. But we also have more modern Python 5 with thermal seeker, which can destroy that toy with ease.

Anti-missile batteries are designed against missiles not drones. And Drone did not fly near then anyway.

Its Iran who made this conflict religious, not Israel. Groups and countries that fought Israel until 80-es were secular Socialist/Marxist. In late 70-es Israel actually helped in establishment of Islamic university in Gaza and helped Islamic charity organizations. Hundreds of mosques were built in Israel, there is Islamic party even in Israeli Parliament.

During Iran-Iraq war Israel helped Iran, saving many many thousands of lives. And what Israel got in return? - Terror.

The difference is that IR seeker locks on heat source, while thermal seeker locks on image.
