Drone strike kills four in South Waziristan

SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: A drone strike in South Waziristan early on Thursday morning killed at least four people, Express News reported.
The strike was reported to have hit a house in the village of Angoor Ada.
The remote operated aircraft fired two missiles at a compound killing at least four people and injuring a number of people.
Drone attacks in December
At least 11 lives have been lost due to drone strikes in North and South Waziristan in the month of December.
US drones targeting a suspected militant compound on December 28 killed four people in Gurbuz town, the main town in North Waziristan tribal district.
A US drone strike in North Waziristan killed three people on December 21. According to details, two missiles were fired at a house in Miranshah area.
A drone strike in Mir Ali district of North Waziristan killed four people on December 6. Sources said that a drone fired two missiles at a house in the Mubarak Shahi village.

In today's drone strike, which is allowed by Pakistan army, Mullah Nazir was killed.

Mullah Nazir has been the one who wanted to fight occupation and not Pakistan. He denounced TTP, which is a fake Taliban body, several times for targeting Pakistani civilians and soldiers.

His killing definitely puts Pakistan's security perspective at variance with that of US. May be US just want to leave the region in chaos which no one will be able to clean up.

His killing while willing to talk to Taliban is also a big contradiction in US approach to peace in the region.
